A bit run-down, but technically fine for one night. Then came the surprise souvenir after checkout: a **US$350 smoking fee**. The problem? We don't smoke, we didn't smoke, and despite repeatedly asking for over a week, the hotel could neither provide any evidence supporting the charge nor put us in touch with anyone who appeared to have the authority to resolve the issue. We really tried to clear up the confusion in good faith, no luck at all. Instead, every conversation led to the same person, "Sam." When I asked whether his surname was so-and-so, and about who the legally responsible person was, his response was simply, *"I don't know."* Seems the guy forgot his own name. Make of that what you will. **TL;DR:** DO NOT STAY HERE! Goes without saying...

Small clean room with queen bed but no nightstand on one side. Small mini fridge and microwave under sink counter. No pool or hot tub. Convenient to Reva Grill and Red Hut.

My own fault for not reading the reviews before booking. UGH! First, there is nobody on site. Check-in is Airbnb style, they give you a room code. That worked ok to get into the room. Room quality (room 1): I'm not picky, really.. but it was pretty low quality in the room. The bathroom faucet shot out sideways, the fixture box to the switch which controls the bathroom lighting was not installed flush, and was a bit loose. The hot water worked but the orientation of the control was very odd, and the shower head was at least 50% blocked and water came out haphazardly. The bathroom fan was super loud and apparently had something wrong with it, luckily I could shut it off. You can tell they really don't seem to care. And.. there's nobody on site to talk to about it. Rate and charges: In their checkin email, I put in the time I was scheduled to arrive (1p) and presumably an automated message informed me check in time was at 4p but I could get early check in for an extra $25. Nevermind the room was empty before that, and it would have cost them nothing. Of course, there is nobody to talk to about this! NOBODY on site. They had in-room Keurig but would it have killed them to have a couple of decaf pods like every other motel I've ever stayed in? OH right NOBODY ON SITE to ask! I got lucky as I needed a first floor room, but I didn't know it was first floor until I arrived at 4p and checked the location of the room. Remember, NOBODY ON SITE for me to have had a conversation with. For $150 per night, just find another hotel! Not recommended at all.
