Great location across from beach I went to and enjoyed - beautiful view from inside room and 2nd level was good match for my bad knees. The room was super clean and had everything I needed. I felt safe being solo and loved opening sliding doors and windows for the cool lake air. I’ll define back!!

Firelite Lodge is situated across the road from the lake and has a lovely little sand beach where you can hire kayaks and/or boats and is not far from fuel/shops/hikes etc. The lodge rooms are very clean and has toiletries provided. It also has a little kitchenette area with fridge/microwave/hot drinks machine but no cutlery or bowls. It did have a couple of paper plates! We were a little disappointed with the lack of welcome as there is no onsite receptionist, it seems to be dealt with via phone only. You receive your room number and door code via phone. There is no local information/suggestions in the room such as local activities or amenities. We walked out of our door on the first morning to have the cleaners cart blocking our door, then in the afternoon of the same day we had 2 bags of rubbish in front of our door. Then that evening someone had taken our chair from the balcony area and used it to dry their clothes on! (Which is concerning because the booking T&C's say we can be charged if any furniture is moved) Overall the lodge had a lot to offer but the impersonal customer service and the need for guest information due to no host onsite could be drastically improved.

Spent 2 nights here. The good: Decent room with decent lake view. Decent location with a supermarket nearby. 5 min drive to Kings Beach. About 15 min drive to Incline Village. The bad: Shower water temperature not stable. The mixed: No elevators (not a big deal for us). And NO front desk, but they do have call and text support. Online check in only. Make sure you receive the link to check in on your phone before arrival. We booked through the Hopper app and didn’t get the link. Had to contact the hotel for the link after we arrived. The whole process took about 45 min to complete… Had to fill out the online form including upload your ID and wait for room number and access code. Also, I think the housekeeper was honest. I forgot my wallet in our room after the 1st night. When we returned at night, the beds were remade and the wallet was still in the room. All the money and credit cards appeared to be intact. Overall, I’d consider this hotel again when we visit Lake Tahoe next time.
