BEST WESTERN PLUS COUNTRY PARK

Room clean and OK except when the hotel isn't even 50% full, they will put you into a lower rated room facing highway and railroad traffic that goes on about every 2 hours. Am a higher rewards member but this hotel will not: acknowledge membership status nor offer any of the amenities that go with the higher membership. Registering complaints will not change their behavior!! Staff is one of the poorest in customer service of any hotel ever visited worldwide!! So beware, if you decide to stay! Ask for quiet rooms, according to another staffer, (hmm, at a higher membership level, one would think that was a given) not here!!! So good luck but remember, if in Tehachapi there are more choices with friendlier and appreciative staff/owners!!!

This hotel is one of the best Best Westerns I've ever stayed until now. It is very well maintained, both inside and out. Smells clean. I want to thank Miss Erin who accommodated us in the best possible way. After a day on the road with rain all day, being welcomed as she did was a great comfort. Our room was spotless, everything worked perfectly. Comfortable bed. Clean bathroom. The pool and spa area are very well maintained. Breakfast great ans Coffee Machine,with truly espresso. Safe and quiet place. With several shops and a Walmart very close by. We will return.

Deeply Disappointed by Management’s Lack of Compassion We’ve owned and operated a small family moving company for 34 years, and on rare occasions, unexpected delays happen. During our most recent trip, our truck broke down on the highway in another city. I called early that morning and also followed up by email to explain the situation and cancel our reservation. Unfortunately, Mrs. Kay Yoo, the manager/owner of this Best Western Plus in Tehachapi refused to cancel or refund the night. My son was traveling with his father, who has a serious brain disease, and despite explaining our situation and pleading for understanding, she showed zero compassion or flexibility. We were charged nearly $200 for a night we physically could not make it to. In all our years of travel and partnership with Best Western, we have never been treated this way, other locations have always shown empathy and worked with us in similar circumstances. I will NEVER stay here again, and I cannot in good conscience recommend this property as long as it is managed by someone who seems to care more about policy than people.
