Unfortantly the staff is extremely unethical. We went to stay there, no warning about all the construction. It was so noisy you could not even hear the lady at the front counter. We stating we wanted a relaxing evening, and this is not relaxing, please just credit our account, they said they would, they did not and they stated they were not going to!

Avoid this Nug! Based on previous great experiences at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas, we rolled the dice on the location in Lake Tahoe. We were excited to have the option of a suite to give us more room as my husband and I were both doing some work while traveling. The experience from start to finish was very disappointing. If you want to check in before 4pm you must pay an early check in fee, even if rooms are ready. This of course is a terrible service and business decision as it causes a bottle neck at check in time. The non renovated rooms (they are renovating from the bottom floors up) were very tired, outdated and just did not feel clean. The WiFi was terrible throughout our stay. I was constantly dropped from video calls and service in general. When we complained to the front desk at first they told us if we moved to the lake view side Wi-Fi would improve and that they move us. They then proceeded to give us keys to another suite which was also on the mountain side. When I returned to the front desk again they then said the Wi-Fi was terrible everywhere. When I explained I needed to work and that their non solution was unacceptable, they offered that I could use the Casino Host office to work. I just laughed but seriously considered showing up at 5am PT when my calls began. There was no mention that in order to have your room cleaned you must request this service. When I called after the 2nd day with no service had I was informed of this policy. The poor service, lack of willingness to find solutions or do anything without charging extra, was truly disappointing and not the experience delivered in Vegas. Clearly the customer experience that the ownership claims to be a driving force has yet to infiltrate this location. It is a shame as this is truly a beautiful spot in America.

We are a tour that booked multiple rooms for a 2 night stay. Not only were all of our rooms either disheveled, or occupied by someone else — the 3rd party room cleaners are thieves and will take your belonging and the Golden Nugget will deflect blame and do nothing to remedy the situation - I would give zero stars if it was an option
