Tahoe Lakeshore Lodge & Spa

The best plus of this hotel was its location and private beach. Watching the sunset was wonderful and so relaxing. Also, the man who checked us in was friendly and helpful - he even told us to let the desk know if we needed more time at checkout. But frankly, that’s where it ended. Our room was pretty basic. No AC (it was 83 outside), no microwave, no coffee in the lobby, a tiny fridge in the room and an even tinier bathroom. To top it off, when I went to the desk to let them know we wanted an additional 30 minutes to checkout, the answer was, “sorry, I can only give you 10 additional minutes”. Thanks, but no thanks!

EXCELLENT Customer Service from LUIS! We have an upcoming reservation - I will review the property after our stay. This review is regarding the SERVICE received during the reservations process. I called multiple times - for months - waiting for the 2-night minimum requirement to be lifted for the one night that we would be in South Lake Tahoe. Luis was kind, patient, and a pleasure to talk to each time. I knew I was taking a big chance waiting so late to book a room on a Saturday night in May, but after researching all the properties in SLT, this was literally the only place I REALLY wanted to stay. We're from Texas, (first time in California), celebrating 14 years of marriage, and I just wanted to be direct lake front, RIGHT. HERE. lol - When I called the WEEK OF our reservation, Luis (who knew me by now lol) was given permission by his manager to lift the 2-night minimum requirement and book our room. He was able to place us in a corner room with windows for a panoramic view of Lake Tahoe and the mountains. He went above and beyond to ensure that our anniversary night will be special, memorable, and right where I've wished to be. <3 LUIS is a true asset to the team at Tahoe Lakeshore Lodge & Spa. Excellent customer service, and a pleasure every time. Thank you so much, Luis, for your patience with me and for doing everything you can to make our (short but sweet) stay perfect. I'm so excited to get there and excited to meet you as well - You're making dreams come true from Texas to Tahoe. :)

I stayed at the Tahoe Lakeshore Lodge & Spa, in Room 306, and it was truly incredible. The hotel has this lovely rustic charm warm wood, cozy décor and the lake view from the room was just breathtaking. The staff was amazing, and I loved the pool and hot tub. That said, the place could use a little update here and there with some modern touches. And even though the bathroom was a bit small, it didn’t take away from the experience at all. I can’t wait to come back!
