Best Whittier Inn

The room was basic and not very clean, but the staff was friendly. Good location in Whittier with nearby shops and restaurants. Nothing fancy, but it served its purpose for a short stay.

Worst hotel in LA, stayed one night with prospect of staying 4 more but had to cancel due to extreme poor cleanliness. Arrived middle of night hoping to get straight into bed, but as we opened the covers we saw a big black dirty mark which put us off totally. Went to reception thinking of checking out but was too late. Carpet in room has not being cleaned for years at least, chair at the small desk splattered with cream or sause clearly visible, towels stained brown colours and shower not working. This hotel or inn is only usable by low class citizen with nowhere else to go for the night! Shame on Expedia which advertised this property as good one, obviously they have not visited the property themselves. Cancellation refund awaiting

Tiny pats barely qualify as bars of soap; tiny pieces of limp terrycloth barely qualify as towels; and rarely accessible and constantly intermittent barely qualifies as free internet service. The sheets are so rough the skin on my face and shoulders is sore. The service at the front desk is sullen. They charge a ludicrous $100 deposit for unidentifiable "incidentals." To be fair, the walls of are room appear to be freshly painted. Other than the dirty fingerprints on the door, the room was clean.
