The water feature in the front and the pool in the back are both drained.
We have stayed here a few times, it is OK for the price. There are some weird things, the room we were in had been remodeled, but not by anyone I would consider a professional contractor. Most of the rooms open to the back, sort of court yard style, but the current management is treating that potentially awesome feature like a throwaway. Pool is closed, minimal landscaping. It is clean, the linens are OK. Free wi-fi, but it was slow and frustrating to use.
The best thing is the location, close to I-5, C stores and restaurants.

This place is being remodeled and is set up more for long term stays. The room was clean and surprisingly quiet for being so close to interstate 5. Lots of pillows and the bed was comfortable. Lots of parking and across the street is a Black Bear Diner.
It is priced reasonably and allows pets. The room had a little kitchen area with a two element stove, refirgerator/freezer and a microwave above the sink.
The staff was friendly and I was made to feel welcome.

Wow... step back into the 70's and not in a good way. The room was clean but very strange... long hallway entry, raised bed platform, gas fireplace, sliding glass door that was blocked by a table with a single chair. The bathroom had a hot tub, wrap around mirrors on all the walls in the bathroom, separate stand up shower and toilet room. (If you are going to have that many mirrors in a bathroom, please clean them. Looked like someone leaned up against one in the hot tub area. I'm going to assume it was a cleaner because I don't want to think of that smudge in a different way. All the light switches were on motion sensors. Old 25 inch TV that got very poor dish network reception. There was a remote control for the curtians... that did not have a motor. The bed and linens were clean but very old. Stains but fully worn. I did the full pullback to search for bedbugs... didn't find any but the bed looked like it was the original bed in the room... from the 70s or earlier.
Now to the outside. Several rooms were blocked off and this motel complex is large. I think there were only two or three rooms on the side of the complex that were occupied while I was there. There was a large recreation courtyard and a pool (advertised) but no water in the pool. It looked like the grounds had not been touched in a very long time.
Late in the evening I started hearing noises from outside. There was a party going on in the parking lot of the hotel next door. Local teenagers with cars racing back and forth. I knew that there was only one staff person on site and since the disturbance was in the parking lot next door it was not the hotels responsibility. I finally just put my earplugs in, cranked the AC for white noise and hoped that my motorcycle would be there in the morning. If I would have had an easy way to roll it into the room, I would have.
I was not expecting much for the $45 that I paid for this room. Clean shower and a bed. I at least got the clean shower.
