My family visits Breckenridge every summer and tired Tyra Riverbend for our stay this year. We love to hike the ski trails and always look to stay somewhere close to trails and Riverbend sites right at the trailhead for one of the more scenic hikes near town! We also select our lodging based on scenery around the building - in this case we could see in the photos that the back porch faced trees (and not other buildings) - also good! With only a half mile walk to town - things are close by - and we got a good workout every time. With the ski lift right next door, I bet this place rocks in the winter!
I placed a positive review of the unit and our host on AirBNB, but wanted to comment further about the overall facility since we experienced a couple thongs that were more broad than the particular unit.
* Each unit seems to be owned by different people and so will be decorated differently with different amenities.
* Our host only responded to service texts during business hours so we had a few times where we had to wait until the next day. The facility also posted a service number of their own, but similarly unavailable after business hours.
*The facility also boasts high speed WIFI (not individually managed per unit), but it was very slow the whole week like 10MBPS. The whole place uses the same cable provider and we found it tough to use. We called tech support and they said a technician would come.
*On the day we arrived, we were notified there were painters coming for the week and we would need to keep the windows closed during the day. This was an irritant since the temperature was 80ºF indoors and no A/C. We survived, but would be helpful for listings to indicate this sort of thing so renters know in advance.
* There is no on-site management and the venue phone number did not pick up (after hours) when we needed to report a problem - loud party in the unit above us, loud music, loud talking, smoking, urination. marijuana. Grr. very angering. We yelled up to them and it calmed down for the most part. This was not cool - what are families supposed to do? Our host had provided us the phone number to non-emergency police since the sound ordinance is apparently enforced.
So overall good memorable experience, but a few issues that I'll be sure to ask about before renting in the future so there are no surprises.
