Overall, the stay was nice but not because of the room. The rooms are nothing fancy, with a typical hotel feel with a kitchen. Upon entering, it was very dark. Not many lights at all and the room was extremely hot and stuffy. Since there was no A/C, we had to open every door and window to cool it down. We only found 1 little fan and I gave that to my son so he could be comfortable. When we went into my son’s room, we noticed there were no privacy blinds. We did some inspecting and noticed in the master room the blinds were seated up against the top of the window frame. We went back into the 2nd bedroom, and sure enough, no privacy blinds, so we had to hang a sheet from the bed. I texted the emergency on-call # and they responded that they would be by the next day to fix it. No one ever came, nor messaged me back after finding numerous maintenance flaws throughout the entire place. Light bulbs were out, big chunks of glass missing from the broken stove top, duct taped light fixture above the sink, loose shower knobs in both bathrooms making it very hard to turn on the showers, hard spring mattresses, flat pillows, and the 1 light in the master bedroom was disconnected from the fixture and was dangling by a wire. Upon checkout, I let the front desk guy know of all these findings including the blinds. A few hours later I received a call from a very disgruntled and disrespectful employee stating that they came to a false conclusion that we were the ones who broke the blinds and proceeded to charge my card $75. He claimed they never received a call or text messages addressing this, however, fortunately for me text messages cannot be disputed since I have copies of my messages and the replies from a Sawmill Creek emergency maintenance employee proving the blinds were broken before we even got there. The charge will be added back to my card in the next few days – but I strongly recommend that if you are staying here obtain documented proof of anything that is broken or missing because this organization will attempt to pin it on you and charge your card. Best of luck!

We rented unit 215 at Sawmill Condos during a road trip of Colorado. The pictures looked nice but the condo is pretty gross. From the looks of it, other than the carpet nothing has changed or been fixed since this unit was built. Most of the trim in the condo is in poor condition, the toilet seats are chipped and missing paint, the master bathroom/hall bathroom shower has a good amount of mildew as well as the tile in the bathroom is nasty in places. There is random spots in the condo with paint peeling from walls, the master bed had tears and holes in the skirt, the furniture in the living room is uncomfortable, the stools at the counter are not in good condition. It seems the owner bought the place just to make money and not invest in keeping it up. The location is great and the rental agency seemed to be good but this could be the nastiest one in all of breckenridge and it wasn't cheap.

I wanted to share a review of our stay to prevent other families from our experience . If you are not part of a baseball, basketball, dance, cheer or volleyball team and you think Sawmill during the Cedar Point Off Season would be a relaxing escape -- you are wrong!! We thought Sawmill Creek would be a more quiet and low key resort - away from the hustle and bustle of the hotels closer to Cedar Point which were bigger and had water parks and guessing more chaos. We also thought it would be quieter since Cedar Point is off season. Boy were we wrong. Our small room was quite expensive and our experience was about as far from relaxing as you can get. We arrived at 4ish (which was check in time) and went to the pool, it was PACKED. The hotel was PACKED with baseball, basketball and volleyball families, as well as dance girls and moms. Parents enjoyed eating and drinking outside the pool area and letting their children run around the pool area supervised by someone else -- a life guard who was overmatched by all the mayhem. Kids were jumping in and out of the pool and hot tub, screaming and yelling and running. The pool room echoed and the noise was truly unbelievable. The echo made it 10 times worse. So we decided to leave the pool and hotel -- thinking all these kids would surely go to sleep early and be tired and the pool would be less crowded if we returned later. Boy were we wrong again! We came back around 9:00 to the pool area with twice as many kids. My husband and I tried to sqeeze in the hot tub because it was our 20th anniversary and that was what we were looking forward to the most. Our teen children refused to go in the pool or hot tub. Even as teenagers they thought it was overwhelming. What a disaster. We were so disappointed. Pool closed at 9:55 by an absolutely exhausted life guard who was the same life guard 5 hours earlier. Our experience at Sawmill was 1 star but I gave it 2 stars because it is newly renovated and the rooms were nice (albeit small). OH and there is no free coffee either, after this disaster of an experience, and the amount we paid for the room, the Starbucks Coffee was an additional $5. Something that may help would be if they only allow 14 and up in the hot tub. Also, there were not enough chairs for all the people in the pool area. That may be why the parents were not in there watching their children.
