Fairfield by Marriott Greeley

Very poorly maintained. Lights were very dim in the hallway and the room and appeared to be of mismatched wattage and types. Elevator missing trim and filthy. Room had a musty smell and it is obvious that real maintenance had not occurred for many years. Dresser drawer would not close and was a tripping hazard. Curtains had a hole worn through them. Bathroom and sink looked like the had been caulked with the lights off. Very below average stay.

Just wanted to add to others’ reviews. The general common areas and outdoor space are on par with other similarly priced hotels. Nothing surprising good or bad - just a hotel. The pool is awful. A reviewer from 2024 commented on the peeling ceiling. It appears they tried to paint it back up, but it’s just peeling again. Additionally the pool has what I will assume are rust stains? And the pool cleaning policy must be “kill it with bleach”. Even an enthusiastic 6 and 8 year old said it was too much and burned their eyes. The towel cubby was almost empty except for half a dozen mismatched towels. The tile is coming off the wall in one corner and all the edges of the room are dirty. This hotel doesn’t feel terribly dirty and definitely not unsafe, but if I come to Greeley again I will definitely skip this hotel.

This is one of the most run-down, dirtiest hotels that I have encountered. The room was not clean, in fact, all the garbage had not even been picked up off the floor, the refrigerator didn’t work, some of the curtains were missing, the shower handle was loose, the bedskirt had visible spills on it and the switch plates had not been wiped. The front desk person was apologetic and I got sheets to put on the bed because they didn’t look clean either. The elevator is slow and beat up. On the up-side, the breakfast area seemed relatively clean and they offered the usual variety.
