Aspen Square Condominium Hotel

Perfect stay-staff is lovely, right in town and our studio was so nice with all the amenities. Pool and hot tub fantastic!

Disappointing. We stayed at Aspen Square over the Labor Day weekend. The location is excellent. The pool, Jacuzzi and gym were great. The room was spacious, slightly dated, but adequate - and ours had a nice view of the pool and mountain. Unfortunately one bad egg can ruin your entire experience. On the morning of our departure, I inquired at the front desk if our room was available to extend our stay which we were very prepared to do. Leroy informed us the room was available, and when he told me the rate, I casually commented that it was interesting the rates had not dropped after the holiday weekend, but had remained essentially the same. His snarky reply with a condescending attitude was “well there are cheaper hotels south of town.” Now, I have been in hotel management for over 25 years and it is this type of employee that is cancerous to the success of a hotel… because you can have nice accommodations, wonderful facilities, a great location, but if the customer service is not up to par guests will not return (or in this case extend). Clearly Leroy is indifferent to the prosperity of the business and I’m certain he would be better suited in an occupation that does not work with the public. In the end, we found a great at the St. Regis. Of course it is more money (that was never the issue) but it goes without saying that we will be treated with exceptional service, unlike the way we were treated at Aspen Square. Sadly I can not recommend staying here.

Total: 09 / 10 Cleanliness: 10 / 10 Sleeping comfort: 10 / 10 (Despite being centrally located, it is very quiet in the evenings) Bathroom: 07 / 10 (Functional, but a bit cramped for tall individuals) WI-FI: 10 / 10 (Top speed, video streaming is possible without issues) Location: 10 / 10 (In the midst of the action/town center) Service: 10 / 10 (Extremely friendly staff) Dining: There is no restaurant on the premises. However, there is a fully equipped kitchen in the room. Shopping tip: Just a few meters away is a large supermarket for daily needs. A higher-end market with lunch dishes is located a bit further away. Parking info: The spots directly in front are public. Hotel parking (outdoor & garage) is located behind the building. Attention: The underground garage is very tight for large SUVs/pickups – maneuvering is required! Top feature: Private wooden fireplace in the room – creates a wonderful atmosphere. Flop feature: Lack of an in-house restaurant for breakfast. Conclusion: Ideal accommodation for self-caterers who value a central location and a cozy ambiance with a fireplace.
