Winterwood Townhomes

Relax and get away from it all. Enjoy the sounds of the creek and the views of the stars. In Winterwood you are removed from the hustle and bustle but only a 5 min shuttle to the slopes or a few more to town. You feel like you are out in the woods surrounded by nature. The townhomes are extremely cozy and a great place to enjoy with your family.

We booked off the Steamboat website and decided to make this a frugal trip in terms of lodging. We actually booked @ Scandinavian Lodge but were pretty disappointed. We called the management office (Pioneer Ridge) and explained our concern. They were quick to offer us alternative lodging nearby and did not up charge us. They even let us tour 2 of the available units and choose which one we liked better. Although this unit was not decorated to our taste; it was spacious and had a lot of nice amenities. Full kitchen with heated floor, patio, huge jacuzzi tub in master could seat 4, lots of cable channels, ski storage room, washer and dryer, and even a sauna. No hot tub on property but we didn't care b/c we used the tub in the master with bubbles!!! We were told that we had access to another resorts hot tub but we didn't find the need to use it. The private shuttle was amazing; it came around about every 30 minutes and from this resort it took us to the Thunderhead lift which was much better than waiting in line @ the gondola. *You must already have your pass or ticket. **We bought our tickets off the Steamboat website, saved a bunch of money and had them mailed to us so we never went to a ticket window!
