AMERICAS BEST VALUE INN

The Motel is located near the Interstate with a steep driveway. That's why it's quite noisy at night. Inside, the decor is functional and quite new, but also has a smell of the material. There is no coffee machine or water, but across the street is a gas station with a shop where there is also coffee. The reception staff were objective but not particularly friendly or accommodating.

Booked a stay here for one night with my girlfriend. We got to our room and pulled back the sheets and right in the center where we would be sleeping there was a bloodstain. Went back to the front office and got another room. Second room again had dirty sheets with an even larger bloodstain this time, again right in the center where we would be laying. Asked the front desk for a refund and he said since I booked through booking.com they would be the one I would need to call. Booking.com has been unhelpful and rude in this case with their customer service literally hanging up on me mid call. Don't stay here, and don't use booking.com

The name of the motel is Golden Hill. It may still be connected with America's Best Value Inn. It does offer a commanding view though! And it is right near the Interstate 84 exit in Danbury. So right there is a PLUS! It's very clean and simple. The management resides there,so you can check in and out at a reasonable time. It is quiet considering the location as well. If you are expecting something more you can stay at the other chain hotels in Danbury. But if you are on a budget,it is very ideal. I did not have any real issues. But the tub can be slippery,as there is nothing to prevent you from sliding. So you must be careful. Everything else is fine. There is a Gas Station/convenience store across the street. So if you need something to drink or light food, that is also a plus. An overall good experience for this traveller!
