Thames Inn & Marina

We stayed at the Thames Inn and Marina while on a Mini Cooper rally. We found the inn to be budget friendly and very clean. Staff were very welcoming. We slept better than we had on our whole trip. The views from our room and the parking lot were spectacular. Close to the Submarine Force Museum and military base. We were very satisfied with our stay at Thames Inn and Marina.

Absolutely horrible. The place is run down. The people who are running it had no one in the office. The room was supposed to be ready to check in at 3:00pm and they hadn’t even started cleaning it. Apple core on the floor, water damaged ceiling, garbage under the dresser…$200 for no tv in the main room. We were hoping for a nice date weekend, with what we saw, we ended up leaving! Didn’t stay in that awful looking room. To the owners, please get your act together.

This was one of my favorite stops when I was in the area. The staff was so nice and fun. The room was spacious with a full kitchen. I loved being right on the water, and Paul’s Pasta Shop up the street was great. Would definitely stay here again. A man who was working on the property gave me some history of the area and said sometimes you can catch submarines cruising up the river.
