So a long story short I had go back and forth to #Connecticut for 5 weeks straight and stay for several days each week. I checked all of the hotels near #newbritain and found that this #residenceinn in #rockyhill would be the cleanest choice. I don’t typically stay in places like this but I didn’t like the other options. I’m glad I picked this. From start to finish the hospitality from the FD to the GM were 2nd to none. Everyone was amazing to us! Even the cleaning crew were super friendly and not annoying. What took me by surprise was the GM. I’ve met many in my travels but Jon was second to none. This guy would do everything from vacuum to laundry 😂 I asked him why and he stated “we are fully occupied and I can’t let my crew feel pressured”. I’ve never seen this before and was super impressed. Him and I built a relationship rather quick. I had a small issue with the curtains and Jon ran to Walmart and got me a new set as he said if he ordered them they would take to long to arrive. I typically don’t eat at hotels anymore but the breakfast here was on point 💪🏼 Over all if you ever have to visit this area or #hartford for anything I highly recommend this place!

This review is based solely on my own documented experiences during two separate stays at this Residence Inn location. During my first stay two years ago, my emotional support cat was locked inside my room by staff after I was late on a payment. When I attempted to return to the room, I was told I could not enter until the payment was made. This situation was handled by the housekeeping supervisor and the manager on duty. Regardless of the policy, having my pet kept inside the room without access to me was extremely distressing and unsafe. I returned to the property for a second long term stay, and unfortunately my experience was even more concerning. Communication from staff was inconsistent and several requests were not followed up on. I reached out to the sales department with questions regarding long term accommodations and never received any response. Several basic amenities were missing or not maintained. The market did not stock swimming goggles even though the hotel has an indoor pool. At the front desk there were three containers of dog treats, but nothing available for long term guests staying with cats. For people living on the property for extended periods, these details matter. I also had concerns about cleanliness and general health standards throughout my stay, which I reported directly. As a long term guest, these issues directly affected my comfort and my sense of safety. This review reflects only what I personally experienced. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and makes necessary improvements for future guests.

This hotel needs a renovation, better maintenance and better front desk staff. I had previously stayed here and this visit revealed a significant decline. The room, especially the kitchen area, is dated and overall was not properly cleaned. The carpets are dirty and stained. At check in, the employee failed to recognize my membership status (Platinum) and overall provided a service level below what I usually get at a Marriott property. The breakfast was okay and the shower area appeared recently renovated. While the hotel used to be a great option for visits to the Hartford area, I no longer recommend staying at this hotel.
