I’m big on service. Front desk clerk that checked us is was not informative at all and I know that informing the guest of things like breakfast is the norm. The clerk that checked the person in next to me was very informative. I intentionally asked a question as a reminder that she simply gave me my key. We later came back and asked for a cookie that we didn’t ask for upon check in and the other front desk clerk acted as if we were bothering her but the male clerk the following night was very friendly and professional. Rooms appeared to have been upgraded which was a plus as the reviews had us concerned. Airport accessibility is great.

I needed to stay in the Hartford area for the night for a meeting and then was flying out of BDL the next morning, so I chose this property, even though I’m a Titanium Bonvoy member and only a Gold HH member. This place is very close to the airport, so it’s a quick ride to the terminal or rental car return, with a gas station along the way. Checking in here was quick, friendly, and professional. The lady checking me in was nice and helpful too. From the outside it doesn’t look like much, but inside they have all the full-service options you would need from a business hotel, such as a bar/restaurant. My room was just ok. The bathroom had a horrible musty smell from the shower curtain and the bathroom was in serious need of being updated/renovated, as it had a door that opened into the toilet/tub, so you needed to close the door to use the tub – nowadays the barn door style is preferred to prevent this obstruction. The flooring in the room looks like it’s been updated, it was decent and not carpet, which is a plus. Bedding was decent. TV was OK. Overall, I got a decent sleep. I was able to get my work done. The stay wasn’t bad. I would stay here when in the area again.

The room was very clean. Bathroom very clean, needs updating. Course walkin shower. Restaurant is adequate. Sports bar- ish. Love the Ahi Appetizer. Plenty of free parking.
