Summer Place Hotel

I have been going from MD to the DELEWARE-MD BEACHES SINCE I WAS UNDER 10 YEARS OLD WITH MY FOLKS & 4 BROTHERS. MY DAD WOULD PAINT THE INSIDE OF PLACES NORTH OF LEWIS - AS WE EAT CANTALOUPE with a little salt & pepper, so we could go out & play at the beaches & attractions nearby. We enjoyed this from Lewis to Assateague Island over 50+ years of FUN ! Anyhow, last week - stay at Summer Place Hotel with Dan - Nicole I think as Owner & Support Staff... Were EXCELLENT - time 4 my bang for buck ! Everything needed for good family or friend FUN is close by. Thank You for the GREAT affordable place & experience !

This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. There was sand all over the floor when we arrived, and the entire room felt dirty and neglected. Honestly, the place looked more like a prison than a hotel. The beds were nasty and looked like they had been made by a toddler, the WiFi was horrible, several of the lights didn’t work, and the room smelled awful. The humidity inside the room was so bad that everything felt damp and swampy. We also had to pay separately for parking. At one point, there were police officers escorting a woman out while she appeared to be carrying all of her household belongings with her, which added to the overall unsettling atmosphere. I can overlook an older or very basic hotel, but this felt unsanitary, poorly maintained, and deeply uncomfortable. I would absolutely not stay here again.

What appeared to be gum on the wall. Mattress was stained. Could not stay there with my family. The owner refused to give me a full refund and wanted to keep $100.
