Hilton Garden Inn DC/US Capitol

I stayed at this hotel in August with my wife and 2 children. Old and unclean hotel, terrible breakfast, terrible service. The best part arrived on the last day at 6:00 in the morning, 13th and top floor, broken elevator, 5 suitcases, I had to check out to go to the airport, I asked at the reception if someone could come and give me a hand with the suitcases, having children and seeing that I had to use the stairs, they answered no because there was no one there; for me, it is an inconceivable thing... Negative experience from every point of view.

I’ve stayed before and I’ll stay again. One red line metro stop stop from Union Station, 3 from Capitol One Center - this place is in a great location. Right next to a grocery store, across the street from a Starbucks and at lunch there are numerous food trucks right o. The street. Rooms are right AND they have Keurig coffee makers - a terrific touch.

The rooms are fine but the staff and service are poor. Overpriced for the quality and not the cleanest. The room is spacious but old and carpets are not clean… The valet service is the worst and asked for tips… I would not go there
