OUTSTANDING A+ and RELAXATION! BRAVO TO OUR HOSTS! Originally booked 2 nights for couples getaway, enjoyed so much stayed 3rd nite. Exceeded expectations and so much to tell you! Hoyt House is on corner of main streets to wonderful walkable to everything downtown, and opposite direction (about a mile) to beautiful Atlantic ocean- I went to each morning for amazing sunrises. They also offer bikes and I road everywhere in the downtown looking at the beautiful homes, churches, harbor and shopping. Easy riding you are right there. The home is immaculate, fresh, w beautiful yet homey, welcoming period decor. We enjoyed spending time looking at period wall pictures, and table books of this home/people etc. The front rooms are so inviting too! Please take advantage of the information guides Lindy has put together on local restaurants, shops etc. There is so many good ones here, you will appreciate her guides. Additionally, you will love the porch, porch chairs and swing- even on the busier street- does not matter. We were lucky enough to watch the high school homecoming parade while having our happy hour drinks! The backyard is nice with great pool/hot tub combo, lounge chairs, fire pit, and privacy fencing made it feel we were not downtown. Rooms: All rooms are different in decor and size, but all well appointed and comfortable ( we peeked). Stayed 1st floor #5. Rooms on that wing not have 2nd floor so perfect for me as light sleeper. This larger and grand room w oversized king poster bed, larger bathroom and beautiful window views also exceeded expectations! The bed was very , very comfortable and inn very quiet. From outside some rooms road noise if rooms facing road, but innkeepers offer sound machines for you if you light sleeper. Happy Hour: HH has a cute cozy bar that opens at 4p, with a complimentary drink ( you can purchase more reasonable priced). Had so much fun talking w innkeepers and other guests. we made new friends at happy hour and breakfast. Lindy & Sidney our bartenders- so funny and so interesting!! What a great happy hour! Breakfast: Creative, delicious, hot and cold items, fresh, and accommodating to all allergies and pref eating times. You can also dine on front porch or room if desired. So few B&B's are as caring and accommodating as Hoyt innkeepers. I am still craving Lindy's scrambled eggs w her special ingredient, and David's Saturday lemon ricotta blueberry pancakes! I would love to see them offer steel cut oats, or rolled oats too, but all great regardless! Dining room pretty and comfortable, with lovely china served each morning. We were very full! Parking: Free parking behind house, with good lighting. Local: We found many local restaurants so excellent, fresh, affordable pricing, and all businesses here so genuinely friendly and helpful! How refreshing, we miss it already!! HOSTS: Saved best for last, as without exceptional LOCAL hosts whom are passionate about their home, town, and guests, HH would just be another beautiful home. Lindy & David, as owners/caretakers of this amazing piece of history you are exceed the checked boxes of great hosts! Your passion, love, enjoyment, and dedication to this home, guests, and town is beyond words; and we were lucky enough to meet you and stay at HH!! To the fantastic, great staff Katie( daughter and marketing/event manager), Sidney & Amanda- bravo for making HH so special, warm, friendly, caring, immaculate, and delicious! We met people this was their 13th stay and we see why they have many repeat guests- we will be ones too!

The Hoyt House has truly become our home away from home in Fernandina Beach! My husband and I stay here whenever we visit, and we honestly can’t imagine staying anywhere else. From the moment we arrive, Lindy, David, and Katie make us feel like family. Their warmth and hospitality are such a special part of the experience. We always feel welcomed, comfortable, and completely at home. The house itself is beautiful, charming, and incredibly comfortable. The rooms are thoughtfully appointed with everything you could need, and there are so many lovely spaces to simply relax and enjoy yourself. And the breakfasts... absolutely delicious! We look forward to them. The location is wonderful, with fabulous restaurants, shops, activities, and so much to see and do nearby. Yet when you return to the Hoyt House, it feels like your own peaceful little retreat. For us, the Hoyt House is the perfect combination of beautiful accommodations, wonderful food, genuine hospitality, relaxation, and fun. It has become our go-to place whenever we want a special getaway to Fernandina Beach. Thank you, Lindy, David, and Katie, for making every visit feel so special. We’ll be back again and again!

The location is perfect for exploring old town and hitting the beach! The Hoyt house is such a cute property! Lindy and Katie and David were amazing hosts! We stayed in the Prince Charles suite and it was amazing!!! Very spacious and very comfortable bed and linen so soft it felt like a cloud! The bathroom was spacious and we had our own climate controls and super cute balcony… If you like an absolutely amazing breakfast experience THIS IS ABSOLUTELY IT! We had a luxury yogurt and fruit dish each morning and then creamed poached eggs that were to die for…then the next day the main was an amazing pastry quiche and the last morning banana pancakes that were decadent! They had beach chairs and umbrellas and towels for the beach and even sun screen! Bikes to use, and parking was very secure! Such a wonderful family and an absolute amazing experience- 100% recommend! For staying in Amelia Island!
