Comfort Inn Oceanside Deerfield Beach

Please read the previous reviews on this site, or any other site, and decide for yourself; but this was my dreadful experience. For context, I have been a Choice Diamond member for over a decade and I have been loyal to the Choice credit card for longer than that. Here are some complaints from prior customers over the last couple of months and what I found: 1) Worn and outdated – Yes it is. 2) Bathrooms in the lobby where breakfast is served had an “Out of Order” sign – The same signs were taped to the doors when I checked in. 3) Elevator out of service - Yes it was, for the first two days of a three night stay; had to take the stairs to the 6th floor. 4) Ice machine on the 6th floor broken – Was “Out of Order” for my entire stay. 5) AC units were loud and had trouble keeping up with the Florida heat/humidity – Same thing with my stay. 6) Had to let the water run for several minutes before it got hot – Happened to me too. Also found in the shower the “cold” was actually the hot and the “hot” was actually the cold. Now, that’s a little about my review of the hotel…as for the management…Ingrid Cambana, hotel general manager - horrible! After checking in and experiencing all of these hotel inadequacies within the first hour, I went down to the lobby to complain and to ask for an explanation. Sunny at the front desk filled out a “Guest Resolution” form for an additional 6000 Choice Privilege Points to be added to my account upon check-out as reconciliation. A month later, the points had still not been added so I emailed Ingrid Cambana with a copy of the Guest Resolution asking for an update. She immediately responded and I quote her, “Please, let me double check and will get back to you by the end of the day today.” After no further response two days later I emailed her again…no response. Five additional days later I emailed her again…no response. After talking with two managers at two different Choice Hotels, I was advised to call the 1-888 number. I spoke to a wonderful customer service rep through that number to report the delinquent resolution points and to inform Corporate of my personal experience with Ingrid Cambana. Now this is the part of the review where she will answer with her typical blah, blah, blah responses, “We are disappointed to hear”…”Your comments will be shared with the team”…”This is not the level of service or consistency we aim to provide.” You are the top of the chain locally Ingrid Cambana; there is no one else to pass this information off to. All I did was ask for a response and for you to deliver on the promises you made. Ingrid Cambana you alone are the reason my new Marriott Bonvoy credit card recently arrived.

Despite the name the hotel is not oceanside. The beach is a few blocks away. We booke an "oceanview" room and could barely see the water from our room 406 (see pictures atttached) The breakfast buffet was not too exciting , the hot food was fried eggs, sausage patties, and make it yourself waffles. The ceral choice was bran flakes or fruit loops. the only cold drink was watered down OJ. The room was ok

Where do I start. I had a rate on the app, ( I'm a Choice member) app was shutting down. Got to hotel, front end women would not honor the price I was showing her. Had to go out and get signal and keep trying to book thru the app. Then the ENTIRE STAY we had no wifi. Called multiple times, same women kept saying she was rebooting the system, Never got wifi! Now here comes the fun! ABSOLUTELY NO HOT WATER! I CALLED DOWN MULTI TIMES. THE WOMEN TELLS ME THAT I MUST RUN THE SINK HOT WATER FOR 15 MINS, LET IT GET HOT THEN TURN ON THE SHOWER! SAY WHAT? ok, so we do it. Nope, no hot water in the shower. Called again, she says leave u n keep running in the shower, it eventually gets hot. Ok..let it run 20 mins (wasting water), still no hot water. I call again, I want a new room. She tells me ALL THE ROOMS ARE THE SAME WAY, you have to run the sink water until hot then turn on the shower. Omg. Called again, requesting maintenance. They say he will be up FIRST thing in the morning. At 10am I go down to inquire about maintenance, front end women says she was waiting until 11am to make sure we are up. (Isn't check out at 11?) Maintenance came up, tells us we have to "Play with the handle, and cold is hot and hot is cold, but just jiggle and play with the handle". Are you serious! Horrible
