Marriott Fort Lauderdale Pompano Beach

If I could give this location and all Marriott’s a ZERO rating I would do so in an instant. Horrible customer service. I only had one kind reservation representative during my almost three hour phone conversation. The first Marriott reservation representative was extremely unhelpful and very unapologetic. She had me call guest services at this location and when I tell you the employee there had HORRIBLE customer service skills believe it. Just to have them give me the number for the Marriott reservation department AGAIN. Please do yourself a favor and book a VRBO. This company does not up hold their promotion offers and will SCAM you. Dealing with these employees has been one of the most stressful, inhumane experiences I have ever had in an already stressful time.

We are a local couple just looking for a little staycation in the area and booked a weekend at Pompano Marriott Resort. The immediate area is quiet, good if you’re looking for a relaxing stay. The social hub is about a 20 min walk south to the pier where you’ll find restaurants and bars. Anyway, we are here just to disconnect and found a home poolside with relaxing vibes, poolside table service, and chill music. Came out about mid morning to hit the beachfront and encountered Sheila working poolside. Sweet, friendly, caring and conversational, she is a real gem out here. She got us sorted with towels, gave us the lowdown on the sunbrellas, cabanas, etc, and made sure our pup had booties for the hot sand and a cool cup of water to drink. When staying somewhere with such a high volume and turnaround of guests, it’s very nice to have someone that can connect and make a personable experience like that. Have one more day to spend here, but I have no doubt it will finish as a great trip. Would definitely recommend this place to a friend.
