Marriott Hollywood Beach

We checked in late around 9pm and found out our reservation was cancelled due to the card on file did not go through. I asked if the reservation can be reinstated and the front desk agent told us she couldn’t do it and we had to rebook it. Having worked as a front desk agent for a long time I know that it can be done easily, however, maybe the hotel just have different policies i think. We booked a discounted employee rate and were afraid that it wouldn’t be available on the soot but fortunately we were able to do so without having to pay a higher rate. We got checked in without being told anything about the amenities or introductions about the hotel except scanning the QR code for self-parking and the pool wristbands. We felt like we were being treated differently because we booked under employee rate but maybe she had just had a not very good day. Because of that, we had a little trouble getting our car out of the parking lot. When we got to our room, we found a half empty water bottle and felt a little uncomfortable staying there. We came down to tell the reception about it and were told that they would look into it. After dinner, we came back around 11:30pm, we met Addy and told her about what had happened and that we would like to change to a different room. Addy was super friendly and helpful, she helped us get a nicer room and gave us breakfast vouchers which made us feel super happy. We came for the beach but there was seaweed washed up all over the shore but Addy made our whole stay better. Thank you Addy, we appreciate you.

I am a travel agent from Global Travel and I am rating this review 5 because of Front Office Manager Natasha Joseph and housekeeper Nazilia, wonderful customer experience and interaction. She was attentive to my request and understanding to my issues. Hotel wise, very average. No microwave and you have to pay for parking onsite. They gave me a bad view from my room although I paid the normal rate and when I asked a separate agent advised they had better rooms that they were saving to charge higher rates. If you want a convenient spot, this is ideal due to the beach but you do not get much bang for your buck.

We were looking for a place on the beach while visiting my 98 year old mother in Hollywood, Florida. This Marriott had so much to offer. Much to my delight, this hotel is immaculate! Additionally, the maid for our room- FAYE- was amazing. We never had to request anything because she watched to see what we used the most (i.e. washcloths), and she made sure we were always stocked up. She took pride in her job and our room always looked beautiful. The food in the restaurant- for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or snacks- was always DELICIOUS, and consistently served in a timely fashion. The people at the front desk were more than helpful at all times. Also, a special shout out to Jeff- the valet- whose kindness went above and beyond especially when my mother visited. The hotel offered 2 chairs on the beach each day and 2 hours of bicycle usage per day as well. Finally, the price was extremely reasonable. I give it a 10 out of 10.
