This by far is the worst stay I’ve ever had at any hotel. Originally I was planned to stay at the Tropirock hotel which is around the corner I believe . They then called me and said there was some issues with the building and my room so I got moved to Royal Palms. The first day was okay, room still had some sand left over but I’m okay with that. On the 2nd day the pipe burst which caused the water go out. Thankfully I was able to shower earlier that morning. They stated it was going to be fixed at around 3PM. Of course it wasn’t fixed by that time so now the new ETA is 11 PM. I had to go to a wedding so I wasn’t able to see about going to a different room. One of the workers there said “when you come back someone will be here to switch you to another room”, which is false because NO ONE was in the office when I returned. It also rained pretty hard so whenever that happened water would leak through from the bathrooms fan (Which didn’t work) and have water every where. That morning i asked for a room to shower in and that shower drained poorly and the water color was frightening. In addition the gym is almost non- existent and the bar onsite was never open. On google this is rated a 4 star hotel but that not is not true at all!

A relaxing weekend. The resort needs some updating and upkeep, but it’s a very good value. If you want 5-star accommodations (and prices), the Four Seasons is down the street. If you want a nice, clean, affordable, and quiet place to relax, Royal Palms. The room overlooking the pool was very clean, and the staff were incredibly nice. The pool bar was closed, even on a holiday weekend, which was a definite minus.

We had such a good time that we always want to return. Since we arrived the service is always friendly, if the room is ready they give it to you before 3 pm, good cleaning, the bedding is super clean, the location is 10 out of 10. Thank you Royal Palms team for making us feel at home. We recommend this place 100%.
