Found this hotel on the Internet, was looking at another hotel, but it was full, so Maggie who works at the original, Hotel was able to get me a room at this one the Sister hotel, which was awesome. It was sold due to the World Cup. Can’t thank Maggie enough for getting me this facility. It was convenient. The people were lovely. It was immaculate and I’m definitely go back again. Thank you Maggie.!

Stayed here as a large group recently during the FIFA World Cup. The staff here could not have been more friendly or helpful throughout our whole visit. A special thanks to Maggie who helped us organise the whole trip and was there to welcome us even though (due to delays) it was the early hours of the morning. Check in was smooth and easy and the rooms we were allocated were spacious and clean. The hotel is part of the North Beach Village and although it is in a fairly quiet area there were some nice restaurants and cafes nearby. About a 10 minute walk along the seafront brings you to a small cluster of pubs, shops and eating places - McSorley’s was our favourite. All in all we had a fantastic stay at this lovely wee hotel.

To ruin what would've been a perfect stay and a perfect rating, it seems that an employee either urinated in or poured urine in my room trashcan before I arrived. It was fresh at first so didn't smell it and I thought it was just standing water so I ignored it and added trash to it for 3-4 days. Then it smelled like ammonia and I decided it was urine; it must've been. Why is there standing liquid in a trashcan when there is a sink and toilet right there into which an employee can get rid of liquid? This being said, it must've been intentional. I told an employee then a manager and there was no outrage, no disgust; they apologized but I think the reaction should've included statements like, "We will investigate and terminate those responsible," but no; it was as if I confronted them with a normal complaint, like a lightbulb being out. Strange. Not sure if it was a disgruntled employee or if they thought it was just a funny joke, but I can't come back. A very strange customer service culture.
