Santa Maria Resort

The unit, 202,was filthy. The management company (Bay Pointe) has yet to respond to my complaint. The resort is nice and is located at the quite end of the island. Very close to beach access. As you exit resort go left to the crosswalk, the size says private access, but that does include Santa Maria Harbour Resort. Very close to Fish Tales Marina, we we rented fishing poles and did a sunset dolphin your. A mile from Lover's Key State Park. It was a shame the unit was dirty, because the had many amenities. They had regular and Kerig coffee machines, no crockpot. They had salt, pepper, coffee filters, dish soap, dishwasher soap, laundry soap, paper towel and dish soap. They had 2 beach chairs, beach towels, a towable beach cooler, beach bag, (bed room closets)and sun screen(kitchen cabinet). There were floats, noodles, and sand toys. We stopped at Walmart to food shop just before entering the barrier island. I would stay at this resort again, just not that unit.

We have stayed at Santa Maria multiple times over the years. We absolutely love the location, the beautiful pool, the white sand beaches. The condos are very spacious, yes they are a bit older, but many have been re-done to be a bit more modern. They are perfect for my family! I would love to buy one eventually and live down here.

A Thanksgiving trip to visit my son in Bonita Springs took a decided turn for the worst when we arrived at our VRBO lodging. The property is a good location and the buildings and grounds are well kept. However, the condo itself was a major disappointment. After enjoying Thanksgiving dinner with my son's family, we arrived to check in at 9 pm. The overall condo condition was shabby at best. It was poorly cleaned and the cupboards and fixtures were dirty. The owner didn't even have the courtesy to provide some basic amenities like TOILET PAPER!!! The air conditioning could not cool the room lower than 75 degrees and was running constantly. The INTERNET was a joke and a note on the fridge suggested that the dining table was the best reception area. Seriously??? This IS the 21st century! The other condo in the same building where other family members stayed was clean, and up to date, all appliances worked. I will never rent thru VRBO again. They advertise a per night price, but the additional fees are ridiculous. The "owners" of some of these properties are simply listing agents who don't care what your experience is, good or BAD! Avoid Unit 313 at this property. Property ID 79706.
