Hollywood Beach Tower

Our vacation there was very nice. Great location. We didn't have a car. We used circuit to go grocery shopping which was only $2 each, each way. Friendly kind driver. We would walk on the boardwalk, listen to music, watch sunsets at the bay, etc. you really don't need a car. All their policies and procedures were clearly explained and carried out well We stayed for the week and did a towel exchange without any issue. Staff was knowledgeable and eagerly offered help. They have a laundry area there We did not use it. Some timeshares have washers and dryers in the unit. This one did not. Unit's kitchen was fully stocked with accessories. Everything was easy to find. Nice kitchen. Staff went out of their way to help us and everyone was kind. Pool was fine, hot tub was fine. Other activities were there as well. Games and such. We enjoyed it. Hollywood beach really doesn't have huge waves. I felt safe at the beach and at the hotel. You have to rent chairs for the beach other guests just bought chairs for the week. I never felt the need to go anywhere. It was a good week just to relax. They had a company there offering a vacation club program. You don't have to attend a presentationit but they may offer you a free gift to attend. We attended the presentation and everyone was very polite and kind. We did not purchase any vacation club program. We just don't feel we would benefit from their specific program. I sincerely would recommend Hollywood beach towers.

Very bad, very bad; they kick you out as soon as you check out, you can't use the facilities at all; in my experience, not even in the most luxurious hotels do they do that to you.

My husband and I booked a vacation package through Monster Group/Capital Vacation Group and were assigned to stay at Hollywood Beach Towers while celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary. I want to begin by saying the front desk staff at the hotel was friendly, welcoming, and courteous. Unfortunately, that was the only positive part of our experience. When we entered our first assigned room, I pulled back one of the decorative pillows on the bed and found hair embedded in the pillow. I immediately returned to the front desk, and they reassigned us to another room. Unfortunately, the second room was no better. The hallway and room had a strong urine odor that was overwhelming. The property itself is in desperate need of renovation. The furniture appears to be from the 1980s, and the overall condition of the hotel is extremely outdated. I don’t expect every hotel to be a Ritz-Carlton, but I do expect a clean, well-maintained property that meets today’s standards. I typically stay at Hyatt and Marriott properties, and this hotel fell far below even basic expectations. The pool was also surprisingly small—more like a residential backyard pool than what you would expect from an 11-story resort. Because of the condition of the hotel, my husband and I chose not to stay. We spent nearly $600 out of pocket to book another hotel so we could actually enjoy our anniversary and have a clean, comfortable place to sleep. Despite relocating, we honored our commitment and returned on our scheduled date and time to attend the required 45-minute Capital Vacation Group presentation. We sat through the presentation as agreed. At the conclusion, I honestly explained that after the experience we had at Hollywood Beach Towers, there was absolutely no way I would be purchasing a vacation ownership package. If you’re trying to convince people to invest thousands of dollars into vacation ownership, the first impression should be exceptional. Instead, we experienced an outdated, unclean property that did the exact opposite—it discouraged us from considering any future purchase. To make matters worse, the representative assigned to us after the presentation was extremely unprofessional. Once I made it clear that I would not be purchasing, their demeanor completely changed. Rather than treating us with courtesy and respect, I was told to “just sit in the lobby” for another hour before I could collect the incentive we had been promised for attending the presentation. The interaction felt dismissive, unprofessional, and unnecessary, especially considering we had fulfilled every requirement. Overall, this entire experience was disappointing from start to finish. What was supposed to be a memorable celebration of our 15th wedding anniversary turned into an expensive and frustrating ordeal. While I appreciate the kindness of the hotel front desk staff, I cannot recommend Hollywood Beach Towers or this vacation package based on my experience. Until the property is significantly updated and the sales process reflects a higher level of professionalism and respect for guests—regardless of whether they choose to purchase—I would advise others to look elsewhere.
