This place is run down, dirty and has absolutely terrible / non existent guest services. They renovated the lobby, but absolutely stopped there. Guest rooms are dated, musty and filthy! The staff here are really miserable and have no problem telling you so.FREQUENTLY. From the cart drivers to the front desk staff, these are the least professional and untrained hotel workers I have ever encountered. Richard, my cart driver gave me earful about how his bosses don’t care about the staff or guests AT ALL and that they are “wasting money” planting new palm trees. There is rarely, if ever, a manager onsite so these poor people are just left to deal with multiple angry guests at once. Villa accommodations are absolutely filthy! Floors are disgusting and bathrooms have an inch of dust and dried toothpaste in cabinets. Need WiFi? Forget it! No WiFi and cable doesn’t work either. There are no phones in those units so you have to call guest services for help from a cell phone. Spoiler alert - They NEVER answer the phone. I mean never. You have to physically leave your villa get in the car drive through the front gate and all the way up to the hotel lobby get out and go to the front desk to get any kind of customer service. When you do, there is no one at the front desk more often than not. They were supposed to send an “engineer” to get the wifi fixed but he never showed up. TWICE. It’s staggering that this place hasn’t been sold and completely reinvented. It definitely needs to be. What a waste of a location. Don’t stay here. Isla Bella is far superior and honestly, so is virtually anywhere else.

If I could leave a -5 stars I would. We stayed here two years ago and it was fantastic. We returned to celebrate my husband’s 50th birthday. It was a MAJOR upsetting disappointment. Let me start with when we checked in they asked for my ID and my credit card for the $200 a day incidentals. Then I looked at my paper and realized it was SOMEONE ELSE’S name. They corrected this and I thought ok, we all make mistakes. Then we arrived at our villa. There were ANTS on the kitchen counters, the TV did not work with the remote, there was not any HAND SOAP in the bathrooms and I spent 30 min using g ChatGPT to get our bedroom tv and remote working. 4 star resort…. We are nice people so we used our own hand soap and called about the ants. They said we will send someone to spray. Ok we can move on. But then NO WiFi. My husband, my daughter and myself all had to do some work on this trip. Called the front desk they said we will put a ticket in. That did not help for the work that needed done that day. We also had three pieces of RAW GROUPER the restaurant. I nicely talked to the manager and gave feedback without expecting anything else. But…. Our villa was never cleaned. NEVER. We took out our own trash. No dolphin exhibit. Not enough servers. The last day we thought we would get sushi from the PILAR bar but it was CLOSED due to low census. But our resort fee wasn’t reduced even though amenities were not available. My daughter bought a drink and left a $2 tip that they CHANGED to $12!! They kicked us out of the adult pool at 6 pm. Adults should be able to swim last 6pm. Then the icing on the cake were the ROACHES crawling around on the third day we were there. My husband and I went to see the manager again upon checkout. I began crying as this was a family trip we had also after beating breast cancer last year and we will never get the time back. We all left upset. Now we have to worry about our kids taking roaches home. The manager Jeff was polite but limited in what he could do. He called the resort manager but he was in meetings. He is supposed to reach out to us in regard to our issues. Please don’t take your family here. I don’t want another family leaving in tears. We travel ALOT and this was by far the worst experience.
