Crowne Plaza Jacksonville-Riverfront

We drove from Atlanta, GA for 5 hours. Check-In was supposed to be at 4 pm. We got there at about 4:40 and our room was not ready. The woman who is also the supervisor, I believe, at the front desk said we would have to wait. We were tired and needed to go to bathroom. We asked if we would get a discount since our room wasn’t ready. She said no. Then she got an update and said it would be 5 minutes as another room was being inspected. We asked again if we could get a discount. She kept saying how it was only a 5-minute wait and they experienced high check-in. We let her know that actually it was more than 5 minutes, our room was supposed to be ready at 4 pm and it was 45 minutes. She looked at us and smiled and said, “You are not getting a discount”. We end up in a different room. Room 601 when we were supposed to have a room on 3rd floor. We walked in and in the hallway there were large stains on the carpet. We continued to walk in and there were stains on the carpet throughout the room. Looked at the chair and it was filthy. Looked at the couch and it was filthy. We could have asked for a different room but with the woman’s attitude already, figured it would be a problem. We were so disgusted by the room we used our own towels we brought because we didn’t trust the towels were clean. We also got sheets and pillowcases and slept on top of the bed because we were scared the linen wasn’t cleaned either. We could not trust a hotel that would have filthy floors and furniture. We never sat on the couch our chair. We were supposed to stay 2 nights. We came to Jacksonville for a wedding. But instead of staying Sunday night, we got dressed for the wedding, checked out early, went to the wedding and drove home. We didn’t get home until 2:30 am but the room was so dirty, we would rather have drove all night. We reached out to the hotel and they said we cannot even get a discount. They offered us a certificate. Why would we want to stay another night in what felt like a horror movie? They said it’s wear and tear. Sorry, this is carpet and upholstery needs ti be cleaned. It doesn’t take a renovation for that. I would give less than a star but since I can’t, the 1 star is for the river view. It was amazing.

We checked into our room , it was disgusting , musty odor , peeling paint , filthy carpet , bathroom holes in wall went back to desk ,they gave us another room , same problem it was gross we left .this was on our 40 anniversary

I want to start by saying the employees working at this location are great and they did what they could. However, the rooms within this hotel are disgusting. I hosted an event with a room block of 150 and had around 200 guests at this location. Many of my guests checked out immediately because of the state of the rooms here. We had a guest that got sick and had an allergic reaction to their room. I had to change rooms 4 times, and on the 4th I was provided one of the two renovated rooms in the hotel. I let the managers know that the state of the rooms were completely unacceptable and could not be the main talking point of our event. From the carpet being disgusting, stains on the chairs and bed comforters, the bathrooms looking as if they hadn’t been cleaned in months, furniture completely worn, ac units as if they are about to fall out of the walls, mold in the rooms. I could not believe what I was seeing and could not believe this was a Hilton property. Even the lobby bar had bar stool chairs that were so worn out it’s crazy. Had the hotel been decent we would have been happy to return to the property to give it more business but I will say we will not be coming back. This left a very bad impression on myself and many of our guests for it to be a Hilton property. I do not recommend staying here until they have completely renovated this hotel which I was told will not start until some time in 2027.
