Luau at Sandestin

We have stayed in unit 6225 and 6227 Luau II for the last 5 years and every year it has been perfect, rooms are clean and beds are comfortable, the beach access is a short walk or drive, the amenities at Sandestin are wonderful, can’t wait to stay there again.

We rented an Airbnb at this location, room tower 2- 6124, we had no complaints. It wasn’t too busy for the couple days we were there. There was room on the beach and the pool wasn’t too full. We really enjoyed the views of the property!

Beautiful location! We loved the pool area—especially the bar with lots of delicious drinks. It’s a short, easy walk to the beach and the Beach House restaurant, which has a gorgeous sunset view. The tram to Baytowne Wharf is super convenient and opens up access to tons of restaurants and fun activities. However, the beach chair rental situation is frustrating. There are rows of empty chairs and umbrellas set up early in the day to reserve space for potential renters, which makes the beach feel way more crowded than it actually is. Signs say you can’t set up in front of them, but as a parent, I need to be able to see my child in the water for safety. I even considered renting a chair just for visibility, but they don’t rent by the hour—and I knew we’d only stay a couple of hours at a time. It really takes away from an otherwise great beach experience. Hopefully they reconsider this policy in the future. (Adding a pic that shows the rows & rows of empty chairs we had to set up behind.)
