Lemon Tree Inn

Just love this accommodation. It's so charming and quaint. We have been staying here for years. It's a wonderful location to 5th Avenue and a walk to the beach. Sadly the accommodation was heavily flooded as a result of Hurricane Ian and it's closed permanently. We were in Naples in November 2022 staying at another accommodation nearby and took a walk over to the Lemon Tree Inn. They have a caretaker on sight as they clean out the mess from the flooding that rose around 2 feet. Turns out the property was sold and the Lemon Tree was only going to operate until April 2023. Hurricane Ian cut that short. It is so sad to see this accommodation go. If filled a certain niche in the accommodation market. Always a friendly place staff and other guests. We enjoyed going out to the gazebo or relaxing by the pool. We stayed in different themed rooms over the years and they were all charming. Yes this place is not the Ritz and it is just fine. Seeing Lemon the Cat was always a treat too. A local Naples news article reported the Lemon Tree Inn will be demolished for a mixed use high end residential/office/retail space. Sadly Naples is becoming too expensive and is losing its charm. The Lemon Tree Inn will always hold a special place in my heart. Though it was not perfect, we always enjoyed our stay when we visited Naples.

Booked for one night only thankfully. Well located and room clean, but air conditioning unit in room sounded like a jumbo jet taking off therefore had no sleep at all, ended switching it off, resulting in a very hot room. Receptionist was quite rude at check in and staff member who was changing coffee pots by pool did this with a cigarette hanging out her mouth, so no coffee taken here.

Relaxing place with very friendly staff. Well located. Nice pool area with Ice and vending machines. A Laundry machine also available. Very clean rooms , equipped with a small bar fridge, coffee maker and microwave oven. The parking area is very spacious.
