The cozy cains website photos are from before the hurricane in 2017. So are most of the reviews. The marina, store and restaurant are gone or closed. The cabins are run down. The owners use booking companies to insulate themselves from unhappy renters. When you have problems, no one cares. The c.c website should come down, it is not accurate. Find somewhere else to vacation!

A half log cabin at a boat launch spot at the outskirts of Everglades city. OK, if you just need a place to sleep, and a bath before you hit the road again. You can get fresh sandwiches in the shop in the morning, and there is a coffee maker at the room

We were looking for a rustic experience off the beaten path so we rented a one-room cabin in Everglades City, a good location for many of southern Florida's attractions. We stayed there four days and nights and the room was never cleaned even though we were told it would be. We never got fresh towels. The cabin comes with a small refrigerator, microwave, and coffee machine. The light over the sink was broken so we notified 3 different employees four different times. We were always told it would be fixed the next day but it never was. The coffee machine didn't work so we notified the attendant on duty. She gave my husband a dust covered one with a dead cockroach in the electrical cord opening but at least it worked after we cleaned it. One of the windows was broken and had clear packing tape on it. Either that or the tear in the "screened in" front porch allowed a lizard into the cabin. Fortunately my husband and I like wildlife but we draw the line on cockroaches which we found in our bathroom. The double bed sagged in the middle and had a too large mattress pad that kept sliding off to one side or another. One of the more competent employees said he'd ask the owner if we could be compensated for the lack of light repair or room cleaning but we never heard back. We didn't mind the need for repairs in our cabin as much as the lack of responsiveness from management. One employee said the broken light had been mentioned many times. We should have saved our money (just under $200 per night) and brought our tent.
