Disney's Boardwalk Villas

My family and are now on day 4 here at Disney's Boardwalk Villas. We have a 1 bedroom suite overlooking crescent lake. Maybe I am just Disney'ed out, as this resort really has not impressed in any area. We have stayed at several Disney resorts and boardwalk just seems meh to.me. its really not one thing, its the sum of all things here since we checked in. We have to benefit of staying at Disney resorts for pennies on the dollar so part of me feels like a ass pointing out issues here. Check in was very smooth and easy, however it was later on the day as we took advantage of getting a free trip to Blizzard beach on check in day. However we were rained out there. (Disney gave us a comp ticket and we went back for freeba few days later). The 1 bedroom is nice enough with a king bed and a Pullman bed that pulls out from wall for kids. Full kitchen and washer/ dryer. We decided to go down to the boardwalk and while very busy I found it to be limiting and not very interesting. We got some fudge from the bakery and some pizza. The pizza was not very good. Reminded me of Disney Cruise pizza which is not great. The prices are high as Disney charges $10 per slice of pizza that is inferior to Costco pizza at $1.50 a slice. The pool is nice but nothing to write home about. They do have a 200ft water slide but its really slow and kind of rickety. You would think with all the money Disney's makes the pools in they're resorts would be top notch like at Beach Club, but that is not the case at boardwalk. Some of the things Disney does thats annoying.One, is the lack of elevators in the buildings. Our room is Far from the elevators. I have seen many people complaining how far the walk is especially after a full day at a Disney park. Another on is how far people have ro park away from the resort. To go from out car to our room was a good 20 min walk super annoying. We had a Disney timeshare tour scheduled and the staff completely dropped the ball and didn't show up for it. They gave us a free $200 Disney credit so that was a win. All on all the place is fine buy most people standards. Our kids love Disney and have had a good time which is what matters most. Boardwalk just has a vibe that does not resonate well with me. We are taking a break from Disney in 2027, expect for a cruise. Hopefully in 2028 Beach Club or copper creek will be our target. I dont think we will return to Boardwalk. One last thing...the fridge in the room opens from right to left. There is this weird sharp piece of metal on the bottom of the fridge door. If your bare foot and not paying attention, this will cut your foot when you open the door. Its happened to me twice already.

Staff was extremely nice. Hotel Is very close to Epcot and Hollywood studios. Room was clean and larger than I expected. We had some minor issues when we arrived and the staff took care of everything very quickly.

We booked a deluxe studio villa with a pool view- was on the 3rd floor with a view of the pool. Booked it directly thru Disney. Nice paio area. The room isteself was fine - no chairs - just 2 tiny cubes; so was glad there were the 2 chairs on the patio. Tough to just sit on a bed all the time - and not have to put the murphy bed back into a sofa often. And, my only other issue with the room was that there is not door to the sink area - no barn doors or anything - even had that at the Coronado and Caribbean Beach Resort - which are moderate level. Just made it hard to not wake everyone up while getting ready in the morning; or keep people awake at night. Best part was walking to Epcot and HS. Other thing I didn't care for with the resort was no quick service restaurant. I knew they didn't have one - but now know that is important to our family. Overall, a nice stay - but wouldn't choose this one for any future Disney trips.
