Grand Lakes & Lifetime of Vacations Resort

We stayed because a friend told us they had a good experience last year. OMG! How things have changed! The housekeeping of the room was BAD! Spider webs and mold in the bedroom and bathroom. We had a one bedroom without a full kitchen, when we booked a full kitchen. When we told the 'Manager', she couldn't have cared less! Not one friendly person that worked there! The lake view was pretty, but it was more like a pond with lots of weeds and grass, which probably hid snakes and gators! We didn't feel very safe there. We DO NOT recommend this place to anybody! Stay far, far away!

We enjoyed our stay and used almost all of the amenities, from peddle boats to fishing to pool and grills. The units were clean, though a bit worn. The beds/mattresses were older. It seems they are at a crossroads with the property: major renovations or redevelopment.

I went to relax with my family for a week but instead stressed all week and barely enjoyed my vacation, guess that's what i get for believing reviews. When I read the reviews I thought to myself this is fine as long as the rooms are upgraded, guess I was reading about the wrong resort. The inside transported me back to the apart I lived in when i was 18 and living in the rough part of town. Our 2 bedroom suite was a joke a main door on the main bathroom that was accessible to the outside with a room key, no proper shower door, and the upgraded bathroom was the main hallway had an upgraded jacuzzi with misplaced jets so when you stepped in and sat down your bathroom turned into a swimming pool. All the appliances needed anupdate, the dishwasher was peeling, missing parts to the drawers and barely could open the utensil drawer unless inopened the dishwasjer first. Then the refrigerator shelf inside the door broke and glass shattered the floor and maintenance took forever to come upstairs it took 2 phone calls and by the time they showed I had already cleaned it the best I could since my child is special needs and I didn't want him to get hurt and he already thought it was his fault because he opened the door. That totally ruined our night and we weren't able to enjoy our night because our son was done after this incident. We wanted to enjoy the amenities but that was a death trap the paddle boats are not well cared for, a tree branch in the middle of the corn hole court, a hole in the backboard for basketball, the dock looked unstable and we only used the pool once because the ducks liked to call it there own. All in all if you just need a place to rest after your family day at the theme parks then stay here. I don't recommend this for a family stay because there's nothing to do.
