Rosen Centre Resort

Kip. Understaffed. Dated. Chaos. Poor dining options. Lobby looks like a cruise ship from the 80s. Total dump

I statyed at the Rosen for a volleyball tournament. We stayed at the hotel for a total of 5 days. On the third day, we had 3 iPhones plugged in using Apple chargers into the outlets in the room. All 3 phones were fried at the same time. They would not charge or come on. We notified the front desk. They sent in maintenance. The maintenance department sent in an electrician. He stated that the outlet was not working and that he would return once the problem was fixed. He returned and the outlets were working. The hotel manager Stewart stated that it was not the hotels fault and that the electictral was fine. It was not fine and fried 3 of our iPhones. If there was no problem then why did the electrican come back to the room. The manager at the hotel did not offer any compensation or take any fault. He simple said it was not his fault. Outlets not working propperly is a fire hazard. We had a few other players on our team have problems with their tv going out. This hotel is really convenient when playing tournaments at the convention center. My advice is proceed with caution. I will not be returning to this hotel. The hotel manager is not concerned with the safety of his guest and lacks customer service to handle situations that happen at the hotel.

Serious safety concern. A couple of hours after check out I returned to my room to find someone in there unpacking their luggage. The hotel had assigned my room to another guest after I’d checked in and unpacked my possessions. On calling the front desk I was told this doesn’t usually happen and offered dinner that night (which I didn’t have time for) or a late check out by any of apology. The obvious concerns about my personal safety or that of my possessions was totally ignored and left me significantly distressed. However, despite being there for 5 nights, the hotel has made no attempt to acknowledge the issue, make amends or apologise. This obviously raises serious concerns for the safety of guests at Rosen hotels and should be a concern for any vulnerable people when choosing to book here.
