Terrace Ridge

Came to an Air BnB while my house was selling...it sold within a week so I rented another unit because the air bnb had roaches. I figured I was safe because I was renting in a separate building that exterminates so roaches weren't a problem...in my building. My lease started in September 2023 and its now February 2024...and honestly the worst experience of my life. I would NOT recommend Terrace Ridge for a single night if it was free or if I were paid to stay here. I didn't get roaches I got toxic mold that's made me and my family sick which has been confirmed by licensed mold inspector. The cheap construction has water pooling in sealed windows so black mold is growing on all 10 windows. Its contaminated my clothes, furnture and made us very sick. The gate key pad never works so people are always stuck outside n cant get in because there is no way to get into the property even with an app that supposed to override the gate when the pad doesnt work. There is chronically an automated recording echoing Polk County pool ordinances that goes off randomly all night every night and can be heard from anywhere on the property...I've stayed in the front and the back. Tonight is especially great because it's been going off repeatedly for 2 hours with no end in sight n we have work n school in the morning. The building fire alarms are also chronically going off so that we are evacuated for false alarms all the time. These alarms are ear deafening so they cant be ignored. Your forced out to the street waiting for the fire department. This has happened so often that the Fire Chief is threatening to fine the HOA for so many false calls. Terrace Ridge is a dive and POS...the construction is cheap, there is never property management on sight to help and when you call with these problems they tell you they are aware and do nothing to correct them. So if your thinking about living or vacationing here...know that you run the risk of roaches, toxic mold contamination. early morning random fire alarms, sleepless nights because of an automated recording and there is a very good chance that you will get stuck outside the gate because it happens at least 2x per week. I can't break my lease fast enough. I can unequivocally recommend that you stay or live anywhere but Terrace Ridge.

We booked this vacation rental through 'Easy Choice'. The property was very nice throughout the complex. We did however, have some issues with the cleanliness of our unit #707. The windows and mirrors were extremely streaky, patio door had lots of loose dirt in the track on the inside, cup rings on night stand, carpets were not clean, dust bunnies floating around and sand around the perimiter of the carpet and also on the sofa. The washer knob came off in my hand every time I used it and the lint screen in the dryer was full when I checked it before the initial use. (Also I have to mention the mattresses were way overdue to be replaced, the master bedroom was the worst of all). We did call the office to let them know the cleaners were not doing their job. The first person I spoke to was a male who told me I could buy windex at the local store and that he could send someone to clean the carpets. I was not impressed. My husband went to the office later and spoke to Francesca who was abosultely amazing. She was very apologetic and wanted our stay to be the best it could. A couple of days later we had 2 men show up unannounced to say they were going to clean the carpets, they also did the sofa. I was happy to have them cleaned but would have liked to know when they were arriving. Once that was all said and done we very much enjoyed our stay. The pool was great and we met lots of great people who winter there from all over. They gathered on Thursday evenings with pot luck which we were invited to. A group take it upon themselves to have an aqua fit class every weekday at 2pm and they also have a walking group every morning. You can choose to join in if you wish. All in all a great friendly community.

We stayed in Condo #301. All the conveniences of home, fully stocked kitchen. The location is good if you like to be away from the hustle yet within 20 min of all major parks and restaurants. The pool and jacuzzi were heated and the clubhouse had a small gym and game room.
