The checkin was simple and quick with a nice person. The hotel is very friendly on the beach with the pool directly above the beach. The sunrise and sunset are beautiful. We had taken a basic room without sea view, but nevertheless it was perfect. Everything is clean, obviously redone recently. The bathroom is excellent by the usual American standards. The beds are also really comfortable. We slept well. The small minus: the free breakfast is limited to coffee, bad orange juice (sorry, I prefer to be honest), mini muffins and yogurt. It won't be enough if you eat in the morning. This will be my only remark because the rest is really perfect for a beachfront hotel like this. Location-wise, it’s a short drive from the center of Daytona Beach. Easy access. We will return here without any hesitation as this place is excellent and the price we paid by booking in advance was competitive.

They have no working Pool, The heater is torn out of the utility room, it has one of two water pumps working, and leaking supply lines. They don't actually have a breakfast, they put out some very small buffines, Small smal appels, small yogurt. no eggs, nothing more..

I have visited this area many times and on this occasion was not staying with relatives, as I usually do. I picked out AB simply because it was reasonable and close to people I was expecting to see. There are tons of hotels a condo buildings on this strip and they provide lodgings at all kinds of prices. What I found at AB was an establishment which perhaps was past its prime (like 60s vintage), but with a functioning pool, coffee ready in the lobby, providing breakfasts (I didn't try these), very close to the excellent Angelina's Diner (you can walk to this place), and close to all amenities around town. I had repeated good vibes from the desk personnel and owner here. They let me extend my stay on short notice, gave me a good room (try to get room 101 or 201, looking at the beach--I'll put photos), and replaced my plastic card with no extra charge when I lost it (not for the first time). Thank you people. For a simple stay on the beach (and I hope you'll go walking on it), AB is good. Enjoy!
