Carillon Beach Resort Inn

It takes a lot for me to write a bad review, but this place was terrible. Booking was fine, but then there were a series of other emails, including ones that required additional fees be paid, and communication was difficult. Then we got there and things got worse. The room was filthy. All of the corners had piles of old dirt in them. The sink was sticky. The coffeemaker was broken (no coffee or filters were provided). The desk was broken. The tv remote was broken, and the tv only had a limited Roku setup. And then we looked in the toilet/shower room. OMG. The ceiling was full of mold from a leak above, that had obviously been going on for a long time. The shower head was dangling. And then the next morning when the people upstairs took their showers, our ceiling began to drip through a moldy hole in the sheetrock. We tried to call and text someone from the office, but we got no cell reception in our room. We called the next morning and finally got to speak to someone. She sent someone up to take a look at everything and that person said they had inspected the room before we got there but had not noticed anything wrong. After her inspection the site "manager" offered to move us or reimburse part of our cost. We asked to be reimbursed as we were leaving the next morning. Since we arrived home I have emailed and called 5 times, but no reply. And no reimbursement. What a joke. We chose the place because we were willing to spend a little more than for a usual hotel, as it was a special occasion, but we would have had a cleaner and nicer room for much less money if we'd just gone to a hotel. Very disappointing. They really ruined our special occasion.

Terrible customer service. Our room had TRASH ON THE FLOOR And a BROKEN LIGHT!!! They wouldn’t even refund us when we left After giving us a filthy room WITH BROKEN LIGHTS!

Gorgeous property with pond overlook. Rooms are more spacious than most studios. This beach though! OMG, absolutely stunning. Coffee shop, wine bar, shopping, tennis, pickleball, brewery, fitness center and everything you need for an all-in-one land and stay location is found at this expansive resort.
