Hampton Inn Plantation

Room was clean and looked recently refurbished. Hotel is in a good location away from the main road but everything you would need is in the general area. Only about 15-20 minutes to Port Everglades and FLL. Breakfast was typical Hampton. The reason for the 3 star rating is we were staying on the second floor. The first floor conference they were holding an, what the sign said, 85th birthday party. Well that was the wildest party for an 85 year old. The music was so loud and the bass was coming through the floor. Mind you we weren’t even staying DIRECTLY ABOVE the conference center. When we called the front desk to let them know the response was just “oh yeah, there is a party going on” This music went on until midnight at full bass and volume. That’s the reason for the 3 star rating: the zero response to a guests noice complaint even to just turn the bass down not the volume.

Spent seven days at this hotel. First five were w/o incident. On the morning of the sixth day, a cockroach ran across my bed. I killed it, quietly brought it to the front desk and asked for a room change. Was told no rooms available. I requested the manager contact me, and would return later in the day, at which time was advised there’d be a room waiting. Upon return, was told by a new/different front desk employee, he knew nothing and was told nothing about a room change. After a brief duscussion, the clerk gave me a different room. On my last day, I requested a one hour check out extension, was abruptly told “no.” Cockroach, $1100, no response to date from the manager, and couldn’t get a one hour check out extension. I will never stay at this property again!! Have also advised my company of this event and dissatisfaction.

We stayed here for a few nights in early March. The staff was friendly, and check-in was a breeze. The room had a pleasant aroma, the beds were comfortable, and it was clean. However, the hotel needs renovation. The carpets have many white stains, and the 3rd-floor lobby tile has a large chip. There are many other noticeable issues, such as a burn hole in a stool in the breakfast area, and so many more that it is hard to list here—nothing that would stop me from staying here, but nevertheless noticeable.
