InterContinental Hotel Tampa

No Pool although it said on the website there was a pool and last time I was here, years ago there was. Rooms are in need of an update and on the 3rd floor the AC was set to 65 and we were extremely hot all night long. Beds were comfy. But we cancelled our 2nd night due to no pool and with so many other options in the area, wouldn’t stay here again.

Location was great!! You’re central to airport, mall and Hyde Park activities/restaurants/shopping and commerce. The atmosphere is somewhat dated, but acceptable. The rooms are well appointed and in need of some updating. However, the values exceeds the ever-encompassing need for keeping the property up to date and current. Front desk manager, Jessica and her associate (name I didn’t get - morning of 5/16/26) were above and beyond helpful, courteous and professional. I didn’t have the best HVAC service e throughout the night in my room and was immediately treated as family rather than guest. Thank you! I will be back. Great staff, great value, great location and outstanding staff. Also, food service was awesome.

As someone who travels over a dozen times a year for work events, the staff was probably the least accommodating, knowledgeable, and informed that I’ve ever experienced. When paying to have an event space/room for a certain time to hold snacks, waters/ meals /meetings in- I expect a level of professional & treated. When asked a staff member why they’re cleaning up the room. The staff member spoke to ppl as if they were a criminal. Not with kindnesses . Keep in mind you are throwing out our things we have paid for at an insane markup and the staff has idea what’s going on. they don’t try to fix it or looked into it. Nor do they apologize. It’s unacceptable and it’s honestly sad for the price paid.Not only was the staff extremely rude and incompetent, but don’t have coffee shops that close before 5 PM throughout the hotel it’s absolutely pointless
