Blue Waters Beach Club

The only good thing about this place was the location to the beach .. this was our first family vacation to Florida and we were very disappointed in the accommodations. We arrived and our microwave did not work we asked more than once for it to be fixed and it never was, which we planned our groceries around fast and easy for our kids so we had to pivot and get different things delivered. No internet which I needed to work from my laptop one of the days and couldn't, it would have been nice to be able to watch tv before bed for our kids . We were locked out of our room at one point because we were not aware the key is only for the deadbolt and not any of the other locks, keypad didn't work because of the internet being out. There were no tables and chairs outside like advertised until the last day. Our chair outside the front door was missing a bolt so we couldn't use that either. Toilet paper holder barely holding onto the wall, screws poking out of the wall to hold the mirror in the bedroom, lamp in living room didn't work.. Very thin shades which wouldn't be bad but you have neighboring unit's outside lights shining in the room . The reviews were all great so we were really hoping for a nice stay.

Our stay at Blue Waters on Treasure Island was unfortunately very disappointing. On arrival the air conditioning was extremely cold and there was nowhere to be found a remote control. After contacting us via Booking.com, we were only later informed that the previous tenant had brought the remote and that we had to wait until the next day. Because of this it was so cold inside that I literally had to lie in bed with a hoodie. In addition, the accommodation absolutely did not match the photos and description. There was no shower gel or shampoo present, no hairdryer and no iron. In the bedroom there was only one bedside table instead of two. There is also no closet or place to hang clothes and inside there are no chairs to sit or eat at. Outside there is also no table with chairs for eating. After reporting all this to the accommodation itself, nothing was actually resolved and we even got no response. Eventually we contacted Booking.com ourselves. The owners do not want to come to a solution. The accommodation is not yet fully finished. There was also no internet, so the television could not be used because the cable was also not connected. All in all we found this a very expensive stay for what is currently on offer. To make matters worse, the toilet no longer runs, so we now also have no toilet and therefore nowhere to go to the toilet. I get that you can't send a plumber directly by but you still have to offer something of a solution.. Don't book this until you're sure it's all finished. The host Barbara and her husband are very friendly but unfortunately it is the owners who solve nothing.

A friend recommended this place and we were not disappointed at all. First of all, communication with the owner before our arrival was A-1. The facility on arrival too. It is welcoming, clean, so well located and above all, very quiet. There are some one or two bedroom bungalows (ours was #9) as well as studios that are very well equipped. There is a swimming pool and laundry room on site and most importantly, the beach is just across the street (200 steps). Everything is nearby (by car). Grocery, restaurants of all styles and tastes, a few bars too are close! Treasure Island is beautiful! You are 5 minutes drive from St-Pete Beach also! We liked it very much and will definitely go back.
