HAMPTON INN AUGUSTA

The hotel is updated, has a decent parking lot and close to major highway. Checkin was simple & quick and morning breakfast was satisfying. Got a nice room on lower level with 2 beds. Everything was going smoothly except that I needed sleep. Had driven several hours the previous night and I was hoping to sleep until 11 AM and leave. However the maid had a different plan. Not many rooms were rented (I guess) and she wanted to clean room early. Banged on my door and I explained that I was not leaving early. So she goes to the room next to me and starts banging things and turns on the alarm ⏰ so I could not sleep. She yells and screams outside my door and creates a loud drama that last almost 45 minutes. I woke up (had already showered & changed) grabbed my bag and left. The reception was barely apologetic. Will not use this hotel again

Fairly decent. Seemed clean enough. Stayed there on 3/21. Just an odd smell in the hotel that extended to the rooms. Not sure if they are spraying something to counter pet odors, but they can find better if they are. And the sheets are too small for the bed. Can’t fully cover the corners. Buy bigger sheets HI. But it is Augusta, GA. Outside of a few acres dedicated to the most pristine golf course in the world the town itself is a dump. So this is about as good of accommodations as one can ask for.

The gentleman that checked us in was exceptionally welcoming and professional. He should train all Hilton employees. He was making fresh cookies and alerted us to stop back to the lobby for warm cookies. We did. Room was spacious. Beds comfortable and perfect pillows. The usual issues in bathroom with mildew. Good water pressure and ample hot water. Bathroom and room well lit. Working refrigerator. Good night sleep- quiet surrounding patrons.
