My check in process at this hotel was interrupted by an aggressive and argumentative employee who acted as if he were the manager or owner. We had rung the number posted in the lobby to call as there was not an employee present when we initially arrived, one showed up while we were on the phone so we discontinued the call and started to check in. This process was interrupted as mentioned above, the employee was belligerent and disrespectful and he proceeded to direct his employee to terminate the check in process and to advise me to leave his hotel. I have No idea why he came out to rant at customers. I would recommend passing on the hotel

We had a reservation for this lodge for 1 night. They stated their check in time was flexible. We even called to verify since were at a friend's mother's 84th birthday and wasn't sure what time we would be checking in. When we called they said no problem just show up. When we arrived around 9pm there was no one at the check in counter but there was a sign there to call 678-431-4791 for check in. Which we did. While on the phone a representative arrived to check us in so we notified the person on the phone that someone was there to check us in. We began the check in process and within a couple of minutes what appeared to be the owner/manager/supervisor appeared around the corner and began berating us in an aggressive confrontational manner that we had called him when there was someone there to check us in. We tried to reason with him and explain that no one was there when we arrived and we just followed the instructions left on the counter, instructions covering a bell to ring I might add. He continued to accuse us of calling when his representative was present. He ended up throwing his arms up knocking the bell off the counter in the process and told his representative to terminate the check in process and rudely informed us that we were not allowed to stay at his lodge. As senior citizens we were forced to drive and seek alternative solutions late at night with incoming severe storms impending. As a result of those storms Tom For Road experienced a sink hole forcing a road closure and the town of McCaysville was flooded prompting a state of emergency. What precipitated his behavior is beyond us. We have never even remotely been treated as rudely or poorly as we were by the management at this lodge. I will repeat a sentiment for another review to RUN don't walk past place.
