Suburban Extended Stay Fort Benning

For the love of God do not stay here. If you care about your family you will choose a better place. Just stayed from the 12th to the 16th. Lock was never fixed. Had random people trying to tap cards on my door every night. They never have towels, and finnaly got new bath towels at 12.am on the 16th wow. They will not refund you even with this proof but yet hotels.com gave me a $75 credit but this hotel management refused so. I had no choice. I tried to contact local Health Department and they had no way to contact with a 2.5 star rating. This company is not on the BBB so you cant even complain on there. I already setup an apointment with the VA so I can see if I caught anything. I will update. Also have more pictures if needed please have Thier Corporate contact me asap this needs to be fixed now or shutdown. The bathrooms are dirty as well and the microwave had rust exposed inside so I could not use it.

When we arrived the TV didn’t work. The front desk clerk gave us another room after we pressed the issue. The new room she gave us was to an occupied room. Thankfully now one was there when we entered but it was clearly occupied. It took 3 rooms before we settled in. That rooms kitchenette was not cleaned and the bathtub had signs of black mold. I was very disappointed with the experience.

Good and bad. Good: the room was spacious, the king bed was comfortable, the lady in the breakfast area is super nice. Breakfast is scrambled egg disks, sausage patties, breads/bagels for toasting, make-it-yourself waffles, cereal/milk, yogurt, oatmeal cups, fruit, I'm sure I've forgotten something. It was perfect for us. The lobby looks to have been fully remodeled and modernized, looks really nice. Could be better: 1 small trash can in the bathroom. Ice machine is in lobby area. Bad: I booked thru Travelocity because they offered full refund up to a day prior to arrival for our reservation (our plans were iffy - we had an appointment where the date could have possibly changed). There was to be a $2 fee upon arrival for "locally collected mandatory fees/taxes" which was printed on my order confirmation, I had no issue with that as it was clearly stated. However when we arrived at 10:30 PM after an 8 hr drive, we were informed we had to pay $5, despite my printed order confirmation for $2 that I showed them at the desk. We also had to pay $100 deposit which was not disclosed anywhere when I made the reservation. They said it was because I booked thru a 3rd party. They said it is refundable upon checkout, but when we checked out they said it would be at least 7 business days before we receive a refund. We will have to wait to see when we receive the refund. So we've paid twice for the same room. Unacceptable business practice in my opinion. If we have trouble receiving deposit I'll post another review.
