There was a lot of African customers that were staying on the lobby till really late at night and being really noisy, the same customers were touching the food on the breakfast with their hands and no using the proper tools , i dont want to eat some bread that someone is bending touching with their hands , it wasn’t the hotel fault but the hotel employees should be involved on whats going on in the building.

To summarize my review in a couple of sentences, I would not recommend booking this property. I booked a 5 night stay at this property. During the course of 5 nights, I had 3 rooms. I had to deal with bugs (roaches and ants), no hot water, no body wash, no shampoo, no lotion, burned out light bulb, TV that wouldn’t turn on, doors that didn’t fully close by themselves, and a fridge that had a foul odor. The manager on duty the first two nights (where most of my issues occurred in those first two rooms), Mario, was wonderful. He comped those nights. When I spoke to the front desk about comping other nights, they declined. So much for their 100% satisfaction guarantee. Honestly, this property is a disaster and I don’t recommend it.
Here are more details of my stay: I arrived at the property early, and asked if I could either check in if my room was ready, or drop off my bags so they wouldn’t have to stay in the hot car. My room (109) was ready, so I checked in and took my bags to my room. I then left for the day’s activities. When I returned in the evening, it was time to get ready for bed. The first thing I did was wash my hands. I noticed a live bug in the bathroom on the shower curtain by my tub. I called the front desk and spoke with Mario. He apologized and told me he was checking in another guest, and as soon as he was free, he would come and address the issue. He was at my door within 15 minutes. I showed him the bug and he proceeded to take a picture to document for the pest control company. He then told me he was going to kill the bug, and then we could talk about moving me to another room. It was late, I was tired, and all I wanted to do was go to bed. So, I told him I would be fine to stay in this room. His response was “Sir, I’m going to be honest with you. This is a German Roach, and if you see one, there are more. I would prefer if we put you in another room.” I so appreciated his honesty, and strong suggestion that I change rooms, so I did. I hadn’t unpacked much of my stuff yet. He proceeded to kill the roach (and told me there were actually two of them), and asked me to call him once I got packed up, and he would move me to a new room. I actually went on to the front desk and picked up my keys to the new room. He told me he was going to comp my first night for this issue, which I appreciated. I tried to ask him how big of a problem the bugs are at this property, and he said he hasn’t gotten many complaints. He did tell me that the pest control company was there a week and a half prior to this, and the bugs may be adjusting to what was done by pest control. One other issue I did mention to Mario about room 109 was that the door didn’t close all the way and latch when it was closing.
Now, I was moved to room 212 for the first night. I didn’t see any bugs in the room, and proceeded to get ready for bed. I had a room with two double beds and a console with the phone on it between the beds. I had put my phone, laptop and other personal items on that console before bed. When I woke up the next morning, I noticed ants crawling all around that center console. I called the front desk, who agreed to move me to another room. I moved all of my personal items off of that console and onto the other bed temporarily. I still needed to take a shower and get ready for the day. When I went to take a shower, I discovered the water wasn’t hot. It was lukewarm. I also discovered that there was no body wash and no shampoo in the shower. Additionally, there was a foul smell in the fridge, and the TV wouldn’t turn on. I reported all of these things to the front desk, and asked if they would comp this night, just as they had the first. I was told they would not, because they moved me to another room. Well, they were going to have to do that anyway. I spoke with Mario about it later in the day, and he agreed to comp the room and was grateful for me sharing with him / them all that I had.
When I was moved to room 718, the first thing I did was check the hot water in the tub. There was very hot water in the tub. I looked at the shampoo and body wash containers on the wall. The body wash was low, but the shampoo had plenty in it. The TV worked, the fridge was good and I saw no bugs in the room. There was a burned out light bulb in the lamp on the desk, which Mario came and changed out. This is a minor thing, but it’s something else housekeeping should be checking, along with the body wash, shampoo, conditioner and lotion. I spent two nights in this room with no issues. But, on my second morning in the shower, there was no body wash. I was extremely frustrated by this point. It’s clear that housekeeping is not doing their job. This is also evidenced by the fact that I haven’t had anyone from housekeeping visit my room during my entire stay. I was gone until the evening, and when I returned to the hotel, I stopped by the front desk. I reported to them about there being no body wash in my shower. There were two people at the front desk that evening. Neither of them knew how to remove and replace the bottle of body wash on the wall. Secondly, they could not find another bottle of body wash in any of the housekeeping closets. They each separately went to 8 housekeeping closets to look for body wash and could find none. This could explain why multiple rooms were out of body wash and shampoo. Their only solution was to move me to another room. I told them I was NOT moving to a 4th room. Then, they clarified that I could just go there and take a shower. So, now I’ve got to keep up with multiple keys and trying to take a shower in yet another room. When I asked to have the room comped for that night, I was told this was just a minor issue and they wouldn’t do it. Again, so much for their 100% satisfaction guarantee.
I checked out and went home. Once I was home, I called the hotel and asked to speak with a manager. Her name was Tangie. I told her all that I have told you, and I asked if they could comp my entire stay for all the trouble I’ve had. She went to review the notes they had and came back and said they could not. She offered me 2,000 points. Honestly, that wouldn’t even buy a drink in the vending machine. She told me I could call corporate and talk to them. So, the next day, I did. When I spoke with them, they made some phone calls, and said they could offer me 15,000 points. Considering most of their properties in the Atlanta area that I have looked at start around 30,000 points, this would be only about half of a single night.
I have been a Hilton Honors member for nearly 30 years, and I have preferred to stay at Hilton Properties. But, I’ve come to the point where I just don’t think I can continue to accept stays like this. Last year in the Atlanta area I booked a Homewood Suites, and their key reader was broken, so I couldn't access my room without an employee's assistance. I checked out immediately and went to another property. I will likely be looking to use my remaining points and not stay at Hilton properties in the future.
