The location is 4500 Southern Pine Drive, Pine Mountain, GA 31811. And we stayed at the lodge. It was absolutely unique because of the professionalism and warmth exuded by the staff. Particularly Ms. Marjorie Kendrick who we has seen and converse with for years. She can fix anything with the assistance of the general manager who has implemented a new paradigm shift in hospitality at Callaway Garden and Resort Lodge. There is nothing the front desk staff or the kitchen staff will not do to make you comfortable. For example, I am a lover of seriously hot wings, I mean really HOT! I shared this with the bartender and he spoke with the chef who later cam e to speak with me after making me the hottest most tasty wings I've ever had. He explained how he pulled it off, wow! I will be going once a month to reset and relax. So many amenities and what a beautiful place. I highly recommend you visit this place and enjoy. Dr. Michael Brown

Glad we went, but.... Callaway Gardens is a beautiful venue. The Butterfly House is quite a nice experience, as was the Raptor Show. What they have done with the cultivated nature is impressive. We rented a golf cart to try and ground proof our two day experience over the very large grounds. A VERY pricey and not so wonderful experience. Cart #5 is basically a turd. It was slow, loud and smelly - gas powered cart. You will only see the squirrels and buzzards circling over your head waiting for your leg to cramp while attempting to make the cart actually move. I would hope for the $178.00 daily cart rental they can provide something better. Electric would be better for the visitor and the residents. Suggest taking a trolley tour or your own car and you will be happier. The lodge was not a terrible experience but disappointing still. Our room was of a good size and appointed nicely with our view over the lake beautiful. The mold in the shower was off putting. Here again, for the price I would expect ZERO mold. The Cason's Tap Room food was acceptable but not up to par with a resort experience and the prices charged. Don't order anything you might question from a basic kitchen. They do have a good assortment of adult beverages. I must say the outstanding experience was the staff in the lobby, gift shops, restaurants and bar. Wonderful people needing some support from management to improve the visitor's experience.

We visited Calloway Gardens this past week. We rented a golf cart ($175 a day). First of all, it is not worth $175, second, it kills your back after about an hour riding in it. Very bumpy ride. You are given a map, but it is hard to follow. The price is a huge issue. Just not worth it.
