Nice and new looking hotel. Very clean and that is so important with everything going on. All of the employees were very friendly. I was pleasantly surprised with the breakfast too. Most hotels only offer a bag breakfast now.
I will be back.

I normally don’t leave reviews for hotels or restaurants, but I felt obligated to try and save my fellow man/woman the horrors of staying here.
First lets just say customer service is lacking. Perhaps its a generational thing, but I expect the front desk to have a smile and greet you accordingly. It seemed like my presence was more of a burden to her than anything else.
Second lets discuss the total state of disrepair every aspect of the hotel is in(other than the check in lobby). The first room I was given had so many maintenance issues, they couldn’t resolve them within the day, so they moved me to another room. That room still had maintenance issues that needed fixing, from lightbulb replacements to dangerous wiring situations. I did not sleep well thinking I was possibly in a room that could start a fire.
Third the cleanliness is rather nonexistent. I assume there is some sort of maid service because my used towel was no longer there when I came back to the hotel after work, but then I was able to get a hood look at the room. I had checked in during the evening so I had not seen the extent of how unkept it was until just then. There was dust everywhere. There were white stains that I refuse to acknowledge as anything but paint. The sheets and blankets were visibly stained. I am glad I didn’t bring a blacklight because it would have traumatized me further. I am also glad I did not decide to take a random picture of the ground at night because I am certain there had to be roaches with how bad the place was already.
Fourth and finally, part of the experience included a free breakfast. When I woke after receiving only a couple hours of cringing sleep, I hoped atleast that could be pleasant. I figured how could they screw up a breakfast. Well I found out. They decided not to provide anything but day old donuts. The serving pans were spotless which meant they didn’t make an effort. It was just too much for me and the straw that broke the camel’s back.
I know what some of you may be thinking, well you get what you pay for. I would normally agree except on expedia this horror show is rated an 8.3. I expected better. It’s a shame that sleazy hotels like this one pay for positive reviews just so they can trick people in to staying there. The one positive experience from this was that expedia refunded me everything other than the one night I stayed there and it was a 14day trip. Thank God expedia is atleast an honest company.

I stayed here a little over a week and the lobby was nice and that's about all that was nice. I checked in and I had no shower curtain, the toilet clogged the first morning and I ended up having to fix it myself. Second morning, toilet clogged again. That evening water and sewage starts pouring out from under the toilet while I'm showering. No wifi connectivity and the front desk tells me they can't connect to it either. They tell me it probably won't be fixed until after I leave. Big groups of guys loitering in the back of the building and you have to walk through them to get to your vehicle. There is a 2-3 inch gap under all the room doors to the hallway and you can hear every door open and slam and every conversation outside like they are in your room. Do not disturb sign was left on my room door and they still came in anyway, took my door sign and didn't even clean the room. My side table drawer was open though and they took some trash but left all the dirty towels for me. There are men wandering the halls blaring music on their phones and yelling to each other late into the night. So, I move rooms and ask to speak to a manager... 6 days later I finally get to speak with the general manager Lisa. I thought maybe she might help fix some of these things especially the guys camped out in the parking lot around the vehicles. This is the one that bothered me the most and I told her I felt unsafe. She told me that she had never got any complaints about them before and that if I felt unsafe that I could just check out and she would refund a partial amount of my payment but not once offered an apology or showed any concern for correcting any of the issues. Finally the first kind or caring gesture I encountered at the Rome Inn and suites I guess? Do yourself a favor and stay very far away from this hotel. Oh, and I pulled the sheets and blankets back as I was cleaning and packing up before I left, apparently I had been sleeping on a murder scene. Huuuge nasty brownish red stain under my side of the bed. I did try and bring all this to their attention and I was ignored and or blown off.
