Outrigger Regency Beachwalk

This hotel met all of our family needs. Full kitchen which we needed. It was in walking distance of many attractions (Zoo, Aquarium, beach, shopping, International Market place etc., Room was nice and had adequate clothing space. Atmosphere was nice as we had a nice view of the beach and for what I paid for three rooms, it was worth it. Especially, to be on walking of Waikiki and many attractions. I would book there again. Parking was $39 a day.

First, the place reminds me of a rundown hostel. Our room has cracked paint all over the ceiling, the bathroom shower has a busted water knob / temperature handle. Next, the AC controller and the TV controllers had dead batteries. One might say it’s just a call into maintenance but… we literally just checked in. Does no one check these things out? Next, the green couch had little bugs in it, pretty gnarly. Microwave face plate had grease, ketchup and other gunk on the buttons. The light switches are caked in mold. TV content is weirdly zoomed in and doesn’t seem to be adjustable. TVs are old and feel like it’s from 15 years ago. Lastly, several of the electrical outlets don’t work. Literally does not work. I feel like I’m staying at hostel but paying premium prices. If this place was $150/nt I wouldn’t have a complaint, but when you’re talking $340-$380 a night it’s just deflating.

We stayed for 12 nights, when you stay for this long we love the apartment type rather than a hotel room. This apartment with lounge, dining, kitchen and lanai/balcony is great. Location is perfect. We will be back.
