CRH - Hale Kai O Kihei

It is not a hotel but a wonderful beachfront apartment complex with a palm garden and great ocean views. You fall asleep in the evening to the sound of the sea and wake up in the morning with it. The whole complex is very clean, relaxing and quiet. Each apartment has a balcony with a great view of the beach and the sea. Parking is available in front of the house for each apartment. There was even a small pool and barbecue station. From the airport about 30 minutes, not a long drive to other great sandy beaches in the area. Shops such as a supermarket and smaller shops are also just a few minutes' drive away.

The location was beyond perfect and the updated unit was very nice. I would rate this as 5+ if it weren’t for the fact the bedroom is not air conditioned. It made for miserable 85+ degree sleeping. Even a floor fan to attempt to pull cool air from the living area to the bedroom would surely have been an improvement.

We come to Hawaii for the tranquility and beauty of the island, her people, the food, and the beach! All of this was worth the trip. We are truly thankful for the roof over our head, the food we ate, and the people we met along the way. However, Unit 309 itself has been completely neglected over the years. The fixtures are old and are in need of updating. The flooring is dirty (that I needed to wash several times), the curtains are gross, the bathroom toilet needs maintaining, and the walls, doors, and mirrors need to be replaced! For the hard work in paying for this trip, I strongly invite the owner(s) to look and reflect on the cost to stay in this unit and revise and update accordingly. This unit makes puts complex to shame. Especially for the price I paid to stay in it. In addition, in the 11 days we stayed here, the pool did not once get cleaned or tested. Frugal owner. Goldmine unit neglected.
