I have never written a negative review but this place had issues. As others have said our unit was outdated. The carpets are old and in need of being changed. The pans in the kitchen had food stick to them due to no more coating. No basic spices like salt or pepper. No mats for the shower so slipping was an issue. Everything was old including the furniture. The location is okay not great. The nearby resorts seem very nice. You are fifteen minutes from the beach; not necessarily backbreaking but in the many times we have come to Maui we usually are on the beach. We think of Maui as heaven on Earth but even Heaven must have some bad spots. My grandchildren were told they couldn’t throw a football in the pool by a manager. We enquired about what happened and were told that it was against the rules. She was correct in that. But the next day other kids were throwing things in the pool with no repercussions. We were told that my grandchildren could throw the football anywhere else but when they were throwing a football in the parking lot a worker told them they couldn’t do that. We put away the footballs. We stayed at the Wailea Beach Villas last year and had no problems. We were treated wonderfully by staff. If you want a great experience stay there. We thought we might save money by staying here but often you get what you pay for. We will stay elsewhere next year.
