Nihi Kai Villas

We stayed in unit 504 last week. The condo was attractive, clean, updated and very importantly the AC felt great, even with their understandable 72 degree limit. There were little flaws like any vacation rental, like a visit of some tiny ants, little wear & tear stains here and there, no sponges or foil in the kitchen etc. Yet I was so charmed and comfortable overall that it didn’t matter. And trust me I am a bit of a snob with vacation accommodations. If it’s gross or unpleasant in any way I’m stressed, whereas in this place I was fully charmed and happy. Sitting on the balcony and drinking coffee with the ocean view, taking a nap in the cool bedrooms downstairs, gathering around the large modern kitchen island to prepare dinner, I miss it already! The pool and grounds of the property are gorgeously maintained and the photos don’t do it justice! The walk to the amazing Poipu beach is easy and pleasant and takes 5 minutes. That’s a huge value right there compared to dealing with driving and parking for such a popular destination. We also happened to be departing on the day that hurricane Lala was here. The property managers graciously agreed to let us stay some hours past checkout until it was safe to drive to the airport and we’re so thankful. Naturally I can’t guarantee that other types of exceptions to their rules would be made, but in that special circumstance they rose to the occasion and we are forever thankful that we didn’t have to worry about where to shelter in place. Vacationing in Hawaii is not for the budget conscious let’s be honest. But this place delivered a great value for our money. It was as nice as having our own vacation house for triple the price. We hope to come back and stay again. Btw book directly through Parrish Collection’s website to cut out all the 3rd party fees!

The units are inconsistent in style and furnishings. Some by the pool have a strong sewage smell so beware. The staff are top notch and very responsive to concerns. The grounds and pool are excellent.

Lovely condo and property with an ocean view. Very well appointed and clean. Bathroom fixtures could use an upgrade. (Unit 523) Great location!!
